When I was in junior high, a really awesome album came out. It was called Crazy Sexy Cool by none other than TLC. TLC, for the few who don't know, was an R&B group from Altanta, Georgia featuring Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. The band produced some great hits from Crazy Sexy Cool, including "Red Light Special" and "Waterfalls". As far as I know, Crazy Sexy Cool is their biggest album ever, and it was their sophomore album. It's also the one that introduced me to the band, and I've been a fan ever since.
Unfortunately, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez died back in 2002 in a car accident in La Ceiba, Atlántida, Honduras. While there was one postthumous album called 3D, and it had a couple of good songs, "Girls Talk" and "Damaged". While it's my understanding that T-Boz and Chilli intend to produce new material, it won't be the same without their talented rapper, Left Eye. She has left a void in the music world that can never be filled, and it still makes me sad that such a great voice is gone from this world even if it is almost 10 years later.
