  1. Aww thanks Tiger! LOL.
  2. My sister took me to see Michael Jackson in the 1980s, we saw the Victory tour, I didn't appreciate it at the time because I was so young but I'm glad she took me. There are few songs of his you can't dance to. My sister and I had the biggest crush on him back in the day.
  3. New York's situation is beyond insane. So Gov. Patterson became governor after Spitzer admitted shopping for hookers, this left no Lt. Governor. Then two democrats (only one opposed to marriage equality but both are opportunities and well, crooks. One guy is about to face trial for slashing his girlfriend and the other has a problem keeping track of his campaign cash) flipped to the Republicans. But one guy lost his nerve and went back and now the senate is evenly divided 31-31. But since there is no lt. governor to break the tie, no one is in control in Albany, sadly, that's an apt metaphor for my home state's most dysfunctional legislature. On the plus side Gov. Patterson and every significant state official (even the former Republican head of the state senate) support marriage equality. So really it's not a matter of if, but when.
  4. It was a great series but I'm beginning to think Hossa is actually a bad luck charm when it comes to the Cup.
  5. Oh I totally forgot to post in here but I'm celebrating graduating last school, I graduated three weeks ago. Now I just have to take the bar. So fun.
  6. I don't even know if I have IE on my computer that's how rarely I use it. I use Safari 4, but I have to edit "top sites" because I don't want people to know some of the "top" sites I visit. In a pinch I'll use Firefox because I like it too. I find it very funny Frenchcanadian uses IE at work .
  7. I agree with rainy, the LGBT group at my grad school, well we have some great parties and are a little infamous on campus, LOL.
  8. Happy Birthday Drewbie!
  9. Happy Birthday Jason! I hope you had a great day and find another winning lottery ticket.
  10. Awww..... Thanks so much Tim. I'm eating birthday cake as we speak.
  11. The word comes from the latin term mule, which is the result of the breeding of a donkey and a horse, so when you use that term, you're calling someone a mule. Slave owners were the ones who made up the phrase. People stopped using that word in 1930, if it was too offensive to use in 1930 and that was 35 years before the civil rights acts, then it's really outdated today.
  12. Good luck on your first day of work!!! I know it'll be great. And congrats on the great day with jason and your friend.
  13. I think Celine would be appropriate to celebrate Quebec's 400th anniversary, heh. Or you could just go as William Shatner.
  14. Happy Canada Day! Are ya going to dress up as John MacDonald? .

I have some Canadian friends who will actually be celebrating Canada Day in New York next week. For the 4th, I'll be watching the fireworks from a friend's house. Macy's always puts a big fireworks show over the East River in Manhattan.
