    Sexy accents

Well, as most of the rest of the world doesnt speak german, we dont have much choice.. we just need to learn a foreign language, and english usually is the first one they teach us in school starting at 5th grade ;-). My english teacher back in school was rather disappointed when i picked up (after spending some time with american soldiers in summer) a slight american accent.. at least she said i had one, and she didn't like it at all - back then it was strictly "oxford" they tried to teach us at school. I could imagine that nowadays some teachers do have an american accent that they pass on, as it is much more common for people to go to the US for a semester or 2 while they study (like i did...). I think the Scandinavians are even better with english though...
  2. that sounds much better than a class on gay stereotypes :-) And the "six beers" is really funny ! scientists are all kinda mad

    Sexy accents

i voted "other".. i love the Australian accent (winks at Graeme) - especially the Queenslandish (which i usually don't understand a single word - *lol*) - and i think British accents are rather sexy too :-p
  4. I always wonder if what i think is worth posting.. and if i think too long about it i dont post (so this means i am not thinking much today because it is my 3rd posting already ;-)). One thing that usually makes me post (or send a personal message or email, which happens more often than posting) is if i really liked a story or if a story was touching me in some way. (now i will quickly click on "Add Reply" before i delete it again :-p)
  5. when i saw "Sommersturm" (summer storm) the year before last at the movie theater, it reminded me that there are some good things about German/European politics - the movie was sponsored by the German government and i think they got some money from Europe as well.. and yes, they show movies like that in the theaters ;-). I voted "Yes, but I am over him/her", but thinking about it i should have voted "No, I had straight crushes, but I've always been careful to just keep it at crushes"... hmm, well, its hard to draw the line between "falling in love" and "having a crush"... it did happen to me more than once, and it always hurt when i was finally aware that the guy was totally str8, even though i was always prepared for the outcome. Sometimes i think i had str8 crushes because they are "safe" (nothing can really happen, can it ?), whereas having a crush on a definitely gay guy can be "dangerous" (there could something happen, so you would have to really admit you ARE gay....).
