  1. You're a Dom fan Andy? And, you were part of the early yahoo group? Hmmm, only an early yahoo grouper would know the answer to this question... 'What did Dom injure when he got into a car accident?'
  2. Welcome to GA & the Domaholic's forum Liddy!!!! Umm, while it seems like Dom hasn't posted an ITFB or WT update in 4-5 years, Dom didn't start posting TLW until Dec 2004, so it's only been less than three years We'll just chalk that up to withdrawal symptoms. We hope to see you here in the forums more often! Take Care®, Vic
  3. For Protagonist, I picked Owen because it would have been cool to kick Dennis' ass and live with my two older brothers. For the boyfriend I'd want to be, I picked Seth . I like baseball caps and I'd like being part of the family business. I also like rollerblading, so ice skating would have been fun. For supporting character I wanted to be, I picked Nicky. He was athletic & buff, and very loyal. I also liked how he didn't really know how to handle his feelings and he usually did so by hitting someone. For Gal Pal, I'd want to be Bree. I love the way she threw herself at guys and I like to cook as much as she does. And finally for villain, I'd pick Aaron. He was hot and got a lot of play. And he had awesome pickup/flirty lines 'I don't want to be friends' . Take Care®, Vic
  4. Most immigrants I know do try to learn the local language because knowing the language gives them freedom to do more. The younger have an easier time with it, and the older (such as my grandmother) had a harder time. It's been my experience that many are embarassed that they might mispronounce a word or not know a particular word and they try to get by with as few words as possible. I've also found that if you are willing to work with someone (such as gestures or giving word suggestions), English as a Second Language (ESL) people do relish the opportunity to try to communicate better in English. So maybe instead of cursing at them, maybe try helping them with the language. Little, positive steps like this will assist them in assimilating better into our society. Otherwise, perhaps you should consider moving to France where that attitude toward not being fluent in the language might serve you well as a waiter. Take Care®, Vic
  5. Happy Birthday Jeffrey Hope you have a good one, and how L gives you something extra
  6. Welcome to GA Daniel!!!! Glad you got here from Dom's yahoo group and glad you are posting. And those aren't a thousand angry stares, that's only 500 Take Care®, Vic
  7. Happy 42nd Birthday Robert!!!!!!! Hope you and Dan (and house guests) have a fun time celebrating! Vic 'who'll be joining your decade next year '
  8. I agree that Aaron has it in him to change for the good. Actually, if anyone had a better shot at changing, it would be Aaron more so than Dennis. Aaron's had a very life altering event. He basically killed his brother  and will live with that guilt for a long time. That event will be (or was) the catalyst for big changes for him. Dennis on the other hand hasn't really had an epipheny. And while he has gotten better as a person, he still has some jerkish tendancies. Take Care®, Vic
  9. something = Dom's Post on Aug 5th Interesting first post While Dom may be slower in returning than many would like, I have no doubt that Dom will get back online and post upcoming chapters....eventually. Come on people!!!! Do the math... busy work schedule + moved to a new place without internet access setup + new boyfriend = busy Dom and let me reiterate.... new boyfriend !!!!!!! If I were in the same situation, I'd be way too busy doing fun things with the BF , then to get online. So no worries, Dom will eventually get tired from having his legs up in the air all the time, and we'll hear from him. Take Care
  10. That was a fun read!
  11. Happy 60th Birthday Marty
  12. Happy Birthday Jay!!!! Hope you have a great day & year! Take Care®, Vic
  13. Here's a post from Dom dated August 5th in the Is Dom Okay? thread... I also received an email from Dom on 8/19/2007 (again he was on a friends computer), but just wanted to let us know that he was okay and that it would be a few weeks before he could get internet service at his new place. I can't imagine the number of emails that Dom must have had queued up in his inbox and was just grateful for an update.
  14. I respectfully disagree. The message that I hope people will get out of this is that you can't just 'pose' your way out of your attraction to men. Getting married, having a family & career will not make those feelings go away. Former Senator Craig was 62yo and he could not avoid the 'demons' after all those years. I think many parents of questioning gays think that all it will take would be for their son to meet a nice girl, and the love of show tunes, the uncanny ability to put together an outfit, and the '1 second too long' look at cute guys would all go away. Hopefully people will realize that 'it' doesn't go away.... ever, and that it's best to just accept it now. At least that's what I hope. This scandal has not harmed accepting and adjusted gays. And Craig isn't gay, he's just an MSM. This event harms all the closet case, MSM's who would be better off getting out of their closets (which the author of the article suggested). Instead of finding anonymous and risky sex with other men in public restrooms, they can find companionship at gay bars or other more respectable places . Take Care
  15. Personally, I am glad that Craig was outed, but I do have a little sympathy for him and especially for his wife. It may be too late for Craig to accept who he is and be comfortable enough in his own skin to live a gay or bi lifestyle (whatever he is). But hopefully young, struggling, questioning gay guys who heard the messages of hate in their churches or from their parents will see what happened to Craig and Haggard and realize 'Ok, if those guys can't fake it and suppress their urges maybe I should stop fighting it and just accept it? Even if I get married and have a solid career, a wife, and family, the itch won't go away. And I don't wanna scratch that itch in a public toilet '. Too bad Craig didn't have someone in his young life whispering 'There's nothing wrong with you Larry'. Craig & his wife would have been better off for it. Take Care, Vic
  16. Happy 18th Birthday JaRED!!!!! Way to be an adult now !!! Vic
  17. Ohhh, this question is appropriate now that Dom has a new/different BF. Here's to hoping for an answer
  18. **Pulls out the shredder** Kevin, I actually agree with you about Caleb, Haily, Joe & Jame. They all behave jerkishly. And while I dislike Milo, I think he's one of the nicer people in that whole With Trust cast. Hopefully, Nels can make an appearance in ITFB and he can date Owen Take Care®, Vic
