I hate it when... ...Your 10 year relationship with your significant other becomes rocky ...You CONSTANTLY fight about everything ...You talk and talk, but don't seem to make any progress (or progress moves at a snails pace) ...Needing 'space' becomes part of your vocabulary ...Things are rocky and you both own a house together ...You have to pretend that everything is fine in social situations when things aren't fine ...It's 95 degrees outside but your shared bed has never felt colder ...You get jealous when said significant other spends ANY time with anyone else ...You get SUPER jealous when said signficant other spends time with a younger gay guy (YGG) ...The YGG hasn't walked across the road when I was driving 60 miles an hour so that he could become better acquainted with my bumper just venting...

Thanks everyone!!!! I planned on spending a low key birthday (we had a graduation and 39year retirement party to go to yesterday) but it turned out much more fun than I planned. After opening presents, the BF and I went shopping and out to my favorite place for lunch. I got a call from most of my family who sang me happy birthday (they were all at a baby shower for one of my cousins). Had a BLAST at the retirement party where we stayed until about 2am. They sang me happy birthday there with a cake (unexpected) and we spent most of the night drinking and hanging out in the pool & spa. I didn't think the party was going to be that much fun, but we met a great couple from San Francisco who were down for the retirement party and it was great to hang out with them because they were our age and one of them was white and the other filipino - just like the bf and I. The bf got me an ipod shuffle, a new calphalon pan, and a bunch of DVDs ('latter days', 'But I'm a cheerleader', and a classic 'Jeffrey'). Anywho, thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Snow Dog, I think you'd have a better chance of achieving your goals if you get adopted by George Bush Sr. You could be groomed for the presidency (you could probably get in before Jeb's turn), and then you'd have a vast arsenal of democracy (read: lots of nuclear weapons) at your disposal. I found out about GA when Domluka ( ) moved his stories here. He has about 900+ members in his yahoo notification group and I think a bunch of them joined here too when he became a hosted author. Vic
