  1. I love tea bags. And I don't mean the kind you dip into water to make tea. I'm the King of Off-Topic.
  2. I wonder if I drank some if it would make me even more gay? Sometimes I still think about girls.
  3. Methinks your bodies had adapted to all the junk in your water. When it was removed your body reacted again. I suspect if you had continued to use the filter your bodies would have eventually adapted and then you'd be drinking relatively clean water. Did all those fertilizers help you grow taller?
  4. My guess is she didn't add enough sugar. The BBQ place I goto makes their tea from large bags. Basically the same as the little bags except it makes several gallons at a time. They add lots of sugar to it. In fact it's called sweet tea. Mom probably didn't want you too have too much of a sugar rush otherwise you'd be bouncing off the walls. BTW, if you're gonna brew your own tea the best time to add the sugar is while the tea is still boiling hot. It dissolves better that way.
  5. The Nestea in a can is very sweet and very lemony. It's good on a hot summer day. Add enough sugar to any tea and it won't be bitter. What kinds of tea do you drink that taste bitter?

    HELP

    Thanks Tris.
  7. I went to bed early last night in anticipation of having my a/c system replaced this morning. When I went to sleep the first time I was awakened by disturbing dreams so I naturally headed here. I finally fell asleep again, but kept having bad dreams. So even though the a/c people won't be here until around 11AM here I am, up again. Not awake mind you, just out of bed. If I tried to go back to sleep now I'd surely sleep right through the a/c guys ringing my doorbell or pounding on the door. When I'm asleep almost no noise can wake me up. Many years ago when I was around ten the home of Spanish Consulate to Miami, who lived behind us, was bombed. I slept right though it. You should have seen the crater that bomb left. Looking back on it, the bomb was clearly meant more as a message than to do any actual harm. Still, it was loud enough that it awoke everyone in the neighborhood except me.
  8. I'm barely awake enough to be posting Rose. This seems like the middle of the night for me.

    HELP

It helps to put the keywords in the right order. Sometimes putting one work before another will yield better results. Also, it often helps to use the minus sign to eliminate things you do not want to see on the SERP (Search Engine Results Page). If you know you're looking for something on a specific site then you can include site:gayauthors.org at the end of the search phrase and the search will be limited to just that site. I don't know that Google published a list of all the search operators. Most of them I've picked up as a result of subscribing to WebmasterWorld(.com) for many years and attending their PubCon conventions. It's so much easier to get those who know more than you do to open up over a few drinks, hence the term PubCon. There are formal sessions however the best knowledge is gleaned from buying someone a drink or four and then chatting with them.
  10. That's sad and funny all at the same time.
  11. When you hurt, I hurt. Now quit doing those high impact aerobics and do something less stressful on, and much better for your body; go swimming. Why won't your brain shut-up? Hopefully it's stories swirling around up there. If it's something else then let's IM or Skype when you wake up. I'll always be there for you Tim. And it doesn't just have to be about having fun either.
  12. The sad truth is that much of what we consider bottled water is nothing more than processed, filtered tap water. Also, by buying all those little bottles you're contributing to the ongoing pollution problem cause those bottles can take forever to decompose in a landfill. That's why I mentioned buying spring water and using refillable containers. I'm not picking on anyone. Just trying to be informative.
  13. Sometimes it can. I had well water on my ranch and it was great! Around here though well water would be no different than tap water except it would lack all the nasty chemicals the county adds to the tap water.
  14. Ugh. I went to sleep way too early. Had some weird dreams that woke me up. So here it sit posting on GA when I'd rather be sleeping; sans dreams.
  15. Same here. I get spring water delivered in 3-gallon bottles that will fit the same type of cooler as those huge 5-gallon bottles. I use it in my coffee and also have several refillable containers for just plain water
  16. Your editor and beta-reader are both geezers. Be careful you don't give us heart failure! You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone else who can put up with you and do a good job for you too!
  17. Um, yes, I do believe you would do such a thing. It's part of your charm! And get rid of that darned halo. It's an offense to angels everywhere! So what could be unfortunate? 1. Eric and Wilde, with things going badly. 2. A bomb that explodes before it's supposed to. 3. A bomb that doesn't explode when it's supposed to. 4. A bomb that explodes just like it should and an engineer meeting an unfortunate end. 5. A loving couple getting outed and it not being well received. 6. The GPS device is recovered safely and inquiring minds wind up where they shouldn't be. Anyone else care to speculate?
  18. And that, my friend, is a classic example of a teaser!
  19. If things turned out as you suspected then I'd consider it a teaser. Making you think something's going to happen one way, and when something does happen it's not at all what you were anticipating, is definitely a teaser, not a spoiler. It's also good marketing!
  20. I've offended Tim. I'm so sorry. I thought we were just having fun. The same thing happened to me with Webs. I made the mistake of reading the reviews first and learned something I didn't want to know until the second chapter. It was a serious spoiler!
  21. I could not disagree with you more. If the author I mentioned previously had done that he never would be where is is today. I'm guessing his stories would still be on Nifty were it not for his publisher's insistence on exclusivity. Granted you need to don your bio-hazard suit before delving into the cesspool known as Nifty. But there are good stories to be found there. It just takes wading through a lot of crap to find the occasional gem.
  22. Me too. Despite my coffee habit I still average two liters of water per day.
  23. If you weren't being a tease then why did you need to use a spoiler tag? PS: I suspect knocked-up is more likely than knocked-off!
  24. You're not using a spoiler tag properly. You're just being a tease! How typical.
