    Chapter 10

Thanks for the review! I agree with you on relationships with an age difference, but I think what Brad is doing here isn't really related to that. He's actually showing his own maturity and self-perception by realizing that while he may be ready to start dating, he's not ready for an intense relationship.

    Chapter 10

From Wiki: Drinking age in England: 18 to buy, consume, possess alcohol in public 16 to consume beer, wine or cider on licensed premises with meal 16 to buy liqueur chocolates 5 to consume alcohol at private premises 0 under medical supervision

    Chapter 10

It's funny, because when Wade and Matt had their conversation about Alex in chapter one, they had to agree that he really hadn't done anything wrong. And he hasn't been improper with JJ either. Yet it does make one apprehensive. A no-Will chapter...I have to throw Maarten a bone every once in a while. :-)

    Chapter 10

Sean and Brad do make a compelling couple. Sean is significantly younger than Brad, which is not unusual for a successful guy like Brad. And they seem to be sexually compatible too. They'd probably be good...if Brad were ready for that.

    Chapter 10

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this...I don't think JJ subordinated his interests here at all. He's chasing after Alex like a dog in heat, so whatever he can do to make that happen, he's going to do, and that's motivated purely by what he wants.

    Chapter 10

Clearly you have a thing for bitchy people. ;-)

    Chapter 10

I have to agree with you on Americans and how we portray our own history. I truly detest it when people can't admit their mistakes, and it really pisses me off that as a country, we can't seem to do that. I thin you're also right about Brad, and that's why he seems to keep his distance from guys he hooks up with.
  8. Actually, you had originally told me they were in Pittsburgh, but the Eastern Sectionals were held in Ashton, PA. The 2003 Eastern Sectionals ran from November 13-16, 2002. So you were wrong, and I fixed it.

    Chapter 10

September 15, 2002 Boston JJ I heard a knock on my door, and that pulled me out of a dead sleep. I liked to sleep in, and most people knew better than to interrupt me. I glanced at the clock and saw that it was 10am, which wasn’t early for most people, but it was really early for me on a Sunday morning. I wondered briefly who would be bold enough to risk my wrath. My father, Stef, and Grand had flown back to California last night. Will and Darius had gone back

    Chapter 9

I'm a little stunned that you actually found something about Will that you like. :-) I love that you have such a good sense of humor!

    Chapter 9

I'm so glad you liked it, and that your feet are happy. Keep on dancing!

    Chapter 9

I'm so glad you didn't mind the kinky sex parts. If you sent me those wonderful treats, I'd take on some serious pounds, and then it would be tougher to do the research for those scenes. ;-) (that's a joke)

    Chapter 9

Thanks! It's a given at this point that Zach loves Will, and that his feelings are fully returned, but I'm not sure that means they'll "make it through", and at this point, it's hard to even say what that means. But we'll see.

    Chapter 9

Thanks Kitt. I appreciate your kind words! I'm glad you liked this chapter. I thought it said alot about how deep Zach and Will care for each other. For Will, where family is damn near everything, to blow them off to spend his birthday with Zach...that was pretty monumental. And the necklace Zach got Will...pretty awesome.

    Chapter 9

I am so glad I could brighten your weekend! It was a happy chapter.

    Chapter 9

Well, we went through hell with 9.11, so I figure I owe you guys some happiness. Just relax. It's all painless. Muhahahaha. I don't think Zach's good, or bad, I think he's interesting. And I think that he's going to be a huge challenge for Will, no matter which path their relationship takes.

    Chapter 9

We'll assume there was some ice involved at least at some point. Personally, I'd rather have the drugs, but then again, that's my normal mode. :-)

    Chapter 9

Perhaps, but 17 year old joints can handle more abuse than my poor old bones.

    Chapter 9

I think it was a nice contrast, that something relatively inexpensive had more meaning than a Ferrari or a building.
  20. Very good point. If you would have pointed it out, I would have still left it as freeway. It's entirely reasonable that Zach would adapt to the culture in California rather quickly, especially since his boyfriend is from there, and he doesn't really like Ohio all that much...so he's not like Gathan, where he's embraced the Midwestern culture. I think Zach is quite ready and able to blow off his Ohio roots and become a Californian.

    Chapter 9

September 14, 2002 Concord, CA Zach “Alright,” the doctor said, “you need to rest your ankle. That means staying off of it as much as possible. When you walk on it, I want you to wear this brace.” He gestured at the brace they’d put on my injury. “If it’s still painful, you should use crutches.” No way I was using crutches, but I didn’t argue about it. “I can do that,” I said. I was pretty much not listening to him, because I just wanted to get the fuck out of the

    Chapter 22

November, 1799 HMS Valiant Granger was cold, the kind of cold that came from battling a November storm. He marveled at what a potent cocktail the wind and waves were. First, the frigid water would wash over the ship, permeating most of his clothing, creating a damp casing around his body. Then the wind would come in to deliver the coup de gras, making his wet garments feel as if they were encased in ice. Granger had been on deck for four hours, despite being
  23. A new semester started, and this one is busting my balls big time. I'm going to post the latest chapter shortly, but you'll have to be patient with me over the next month or so. Chapters will probably be slow in coming.
  24. If you re-read the beginning of Paternity, I think you'll see that Matt was really all about Matt. Winning, and making the team successful, was his personal goal, much like his own playing. It wasn't until after he got Carl out of his brain, and sorted things out with Wade, that he was able to become a team player, at least as captain.
