  1. My first take on that pic was that it was a case of Molson Canadian beer.
  2. Calvert is just so sweet! He and George have now had the talk. How to be while in London. Oh well, it was inevitable I suppose. I don't believe Calvert appreciated Granger's career pep talk. I didn't. I loved the Vice-Admiral's reaction when he arrived with the fleet. So George and crew are once again into the breech. :2hands:
  3. Ok, so what does Caroline have in mind that she believes George can achieve that's going to work out better than being Countess of Bridgemont?
  4. That was a totally hot chapter! Someone should shoot Cole's mother. Seriously. Magnum 44. I'm not talking champagne here. Let's bring in Clint for the head shot! Certainly part of Cole's deal is the role his mother has played in his life. I have the same concerns as Tiger. So does Matt himself!
  5. Frankly, I think Granger would be quite open to Caroline having lovers if that was want she wanted. He would just expect her to be discreet....something he's still working on. Caroline is without her husband most of the time, but she's anything but alone. She and George now have their own London based home and money to redecorate it. She'll be in heaven.
  6. I don't see the point of the poll if it's someone we don't know. I voted for Matt, Max and Unknown person. Matt, well, he's obvious. I think they're great together. Max and Cody had a thing going there for a while, back when Marcel was misbehaving. Not that Max was much better. What would be totally ironic would be Cody and Cole. That would leave Matt with his balls swinging in the breeze. Not for too long of course.
  7. Granger never ceases to amaze me. I can't wait to see Jervis' reaction when he arrives with his fleet and sees the English flag flying with Granger sitting in the port ready to hand him this Dutch island on a platter. And while waiting, Granger has great sex, a good meal and gets drunk. All in a day's work, I suppose. So Granger is already thinking ahead about how he'll have to behave when he returns home. We'll see if he can pull it off. It won't be easy seeing how quickly his "dance card" fills up when he's home. I'm also wondering what will happen when Granger ends up in the same port as Travis and Calvert. I believe George's earlier answer to this dilema was a "threesome". Super chapter, Mark!
  8. Happy B-Day, Sandra!!!
  9. I always remove the worms first. Shouldn't we be discussing the good things rats do for us, like the maggots? Think of all those lab rats that have sacrificed themselves for mankind. Your common rat also generates a great deal of employment....in the way of pest control companies.
  10. I had completely forgotten that Matt's parents had been planning a visit. I thought for sure Matt was going to get outed to them some how. Well, not this time. Looks like Tiger's prescription for Matt and Brian worked as anticipated. Great sex scene! Now that Brian's not being an asshole, we may not hear much from him. Given Matt's libido and the feelings Matt and Cole have for one another, it's kind of inevitable that they're going to get together one way or another. I'm curious what role Cole will play in that coming together. Some straight guys "let" themselves be seduced. Great chapter, Mark!
  11. The rats didn't get this kind of attention.
  12. Enric is fearful of what may happen to you should Calvert die. Aren't you?
  13. Because it's the maggots that would be doing the eating. Isn't there a somewhat similiar treatment used today for burn victims?
  14. You may have to do her while she's pregnant, then.
  15. I really enjoyed the conversation between Granger and his grandfather. This is exactly the type of discussion that an "elder" should have with young men within their influence. More of that should go on today. Granger can now place Caroline's actions into a better context and move beyond the place where he's been. Of true value there as well was Grandfather pointing out the value of using your best charm (i.e. bullshit) when with women. Another point for Travers. There shall be no cute sailors with a big dick dying in this story. :2hands: It would be a shame to have the works of a superb author relegated to the bowels of efiction. I love making threats.
  16. There are 2 Canadians on the hockey team, Tiger. Pay attention. One of them, John Gillespie, says "eh". Personally, I don't give a shit. A lot of Canadians use "eh". So what. Very often, teasing is a sign of admiration. Mark loves Canadians....just not as much as the Swedes. Loved that chapter! Cole is so cute! He really wants to get laid.
  17. Is that the same as getting head?
  18. Well, I'm glad the older men in this story are getting laid too. It strikes me that Granger's cabin is going to need a revolving door for the trip kack to England. So the burning question is will Granger find a way to keep the Swede on shore in the morning? Super-horny chapter, Mark!
  19. Brian's real "punishment" will be missing the party with the hockey team. Talk about missed opportunities. You gotta love Konrad...
  20. I'll also be cheering for the Twins. Not because I hate the Yankees, though. I just like the Twins better. Of course it helps that Justin Morneau is a Twin. He's not just a Canadian, but from my province and a neibouring city as well. He had 30 home runs and 100 RBI's this year. Not too shabby. Go Twins Go!!!
  21. Happy B-Day, Paya!!!
  22. Happy B-Day, Chase!!!
  23. Calvert is alive and improving. He was so cute to want to remain in Granger's cabin and not go ashore to the hospital. Freemantle! What an ass! It seems the Vice-Admiral will make short work of him. I don't want to condemn our sweet Caroline just yet. She's been pretty cool so far and, as Tiger pointed out, she made it clear to her husband that he may seek relief elsewhere. So my thought is she wouldn't have had Calvert reassigned out of jealousy. So as long as Granger remained discreet and didn't damage the family reputation or outright desert her, she has lots to keep her busy. Besides, what would she have said to the Admiralty to get Calvert reassigned that would not have caused some concerns as it is? Then again, she's a woman and totally unpredictable.
  24. I've just got to try that line sometime soon, "Yes, young man, you needed to purge!" I'm beginning to wonder who the good Dr. Jackson purged that caused him to have to leave England! Yes, it's becoming clearer that Mark wants to get in his "licks" for the 2009 King of Cliffhangers award. The only clue as to who the naval officer might be is that Granger had to do everything he could to avoid passing out. To me, that means bad news. So I'm thinking Paya is right in guessing it's Fitzwilliam. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that Calvert is dead; there could be another surviving boat out there. Just to be on the safe side, though, Paya and I will prepare for the tar and feathering of you know who!
  25. That wasn't a spoiler. That was a teaser! Good humour, anyways. So Brian is planning on being a pain in the ass. His days are numbered if he keeps that up. While it works out better storywise to have the hockey jocks stay at Escorial, that's pretty shoddy treatment by Stanford to have a pre-school camp with no food and lodging. Jack's a hoot!
