  1. You may have to do her while she's pregnant, then.
  2. I really enjoyed the conversation between Granger and his grandfather. This is exactly the type of discussion that an "elder" should have with young men within their influence. More of that should go on today. Granger can now place Caroline's actions into a better context and move beyond the place where he's been. Of true value there as well was Grandfather pointing out the value of using your best charm (i.e. bullshit) when with women. Another point for Travers. There shall be no cute sailors with a big dick dying in this story. :2hands: It would be a shame to have the works of a superb author relegated to the bowels of efiction. I love making threats.
  3. There are 2 Canadians on the hockey team, Tiger. Pay attention. One of them, John Gillespie, says "eh". Personally, I don't give a shit. A lot of Canadians use "eh". So what. Very often, teasing is a sign of admiration. Mark loves Canadians....just not as much as the Swedes. Loved that chapter! Cole is so cute! He really wants to get laid.
  4. Is that the same as getting head?
  5. This is unusual for me. I'm cheering for Connor, the alleged "evil" one. Doesn't look good for Travis! Then again, Things look great for Travis. More, Chase!
  6. Chapter 8 was deliciously sweet! Just loved it! I must say it's a relief to be off the rack, Neph! I am feeling nicely stretched, though. Ash's father's turnaround was a bonus! Good on him! Family is important. My favourite part was when Josh said he couldn't wait to show off his boyfriend to all his friends.
  7. Well, I'm glad the older men in this story are getting laid too. It strikes me that Granger's cabin is going to need a revolving door for the trip kack to England. So the burning question is will Granger find a way to keep the Swede on shore in the morning? Super-horny chapter, Mark!
  8. Superb chapter, Neph!! Things still look bleak, but for some reason I'm feeling better. I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with the clarity that Josh now has around his relationship with Ash. It's working out that Josh taking Hendicott's advice was a wise move. I'm surprised Josh was able to think through that one. I know Ash is going to be ok. If not, I'm hiring professional stalkers. Just loving this story.
  9. Great, great chapter, Adam! Brian's monologue about himself and his feelings for Sam...just stupendous. So much pain, regret, doubt. That must have been tough to write. But I really get that the clarity he has now around Sam is totally sincere. Brian's ready to do whatever it takes to have Sam in his life.
  10. Brian's real "punishment" will be missing the party with the hockey team. Talk about missed opportunities. You gotta love Konrad...
  11. I'll also be cheering for the Twins. Not because I hate the Yankees, though. I just like the Twins better. Of course it helps that Justin Morneau is a Twin. He's not just a Canadian, but from my province and a neibouring city as well. He had 30 home runs and 100 RBI's this year. Not too shabby. Go Twins Go!!!
  12. Happy B-Day, Paya!!!
  13. Happy B-Day, Chase!!!
  14. Well, the nice white truck should be here any minute now. You know the one I mean. There's a picture of an acorn on both side panels. The nice people will dress me in one of those white jackets. You know the ones I mean. You get to hug yourself all day...and all night too. You know, I use to be a happy person, Neph. You've gone and ruined all that. Will you visit me here at Restful Acres?
  15. Calvert is alive and improving. He was so cute to want to remain in Granger's cabin and not go ashore to the hospital. Freemantle! What an ass! It seems the Vice-Admiral will make short work of him. I don't want to condemn our sweet Caroline just yet. She's been pretty cool so far and, as Tiger pointed out, she made it clear to her husband that he may seek relief elsewhere. So my thought is she wouldn't have had Calvert reassigned out of jealousy. So as long as Granger remained discreet and didn't damage the family reputation or outright desert her, she has lots to keep her busy. Besides, what would she have said to the Admiralty to get Calvert reassigned that would not have caused some concerns as it is? Then again, she's a woman and totally unpredictable.
  16. Chapter 14... Sweet, sweet chapter, Duncan! So, you do straight relationships, too! At least, you capture Bran's feelings for Laura very well. I enjoyed listening to Matt's thoughts as he watched his brother care for Laura. Then there was this slight twinge of, what was it, jealousy, when Matt thinks how much easier relationships are for straights. The closing scene was incredible, Luc's raw emotions coming to the surface again, with Matt giving his all to be there for him. Just loved it.
  17. War and atrocities have always been good bedfellows. James, you struck an excellent balance in describing what had been going on at the camp without sending me wretching to the nearest flusher.
  18. I've just got to try that line sometime soon, "Yes, young man, you needed to purge!" I'm beginning to wonder who the good Dr. Jackson purged that caused him to have to leave England! Yes, it's becoming clearer that Mark wants to get in his "licks" for the 2009 King of Cliffhangers award. The only clue as to who the naval officer might be is that Granger had to do everything he could to avoid passing out. To me, that means bad news. So I'm thinking Paya is right in guessing it's Fitzwilliam. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that Calvert is dead; there could be another surviving boat out there. Just to be on the safe side, though, Paya and I will prepare for the tar and feathering of you know who!
  19. Really good chapter! Just don't let it happen that some "alien thing" is living inside this (hot) body called Slade.
  20. That wasn't a spoiler. That was a teaser! Good humour, anyways. So Brian is planning on being a pain in the ass. His days are numbered if he keeps that up. While it works out better storywise to have the hockey jocks stay at Escorial, that's pretty shoddy treatment by Stanford to have a pre-school camp with no food and lodging. Jack's a hoot!
  21. Personnally, I wouldn't be able to handle severe physical pain and emotional anguish at the same time. That was such a frustrating chapter to read. Now Josh is having those "he'll be better off with someone else" feelings. Ugh! I'm very supportive around all professional guidelines that warn against romantic involvement with a "client", particularly where minors are involved. I note that there's a double standard around situations involving a female teacher and a male student. The teacher will still lose her licence but no one is at all concerned about any emotional trauma to the student. In fact, the student's old man is probably bragging to his buddies.
  22. I, on the other hand, much prefer redemption. There's usually a lot more drama! Of course, we could combine the two outcomes...Brian becomes terminally ill and makes amends before he croaks.
  23. I liked it, Kevin! It's friendly and warm and happy. Instead of teeth, I would do a chin or shoulders. Chins can be incredibly sexy. I'm uncertain about what you mean when you say the structure and rhythm aren't good. Maybe you're just not happy with it.
  24. Beautiful chapter, Neph! What an impossible situation. So sweet, so sad. Nothing but dead ends. Neph, I'm trusting you to find a way out of this...one that doesn't break Ash's heart...or mine for that matter.
  25. Yes, poor George is ill. The cold and dampness of England in February will do it every time. Hopefully there'll be some respite in the West Indies. I've been preparing myself for a Granger-Calvert separation. A lot of good that did. A rendezvous in the West Indies sounds good, though! Ok, who thinks Caroline is pregnant again? Young Fitzwilliam got himself some! I bet he was proud to tell Granger that he had to get out of Dodge.
