Death by fire, of course this was cause I was stuck on a freaking submarine out in the middle of nowhere for long periods of time. Strangely enough, I was never afraid of the risk of drowning. Dog poop. can't stand it, makes me want to vomit, of course, I can pick up kitty poop with no problems. and last, but not least, when other people are doing the driving and I'm not. drives me up the wall when I'm a passenger, half the time I'm trying to not stomp my feet as if I have brakes on my side of the car. Not being able to finish Sunny's Angel up That's all I can think of at the moment, I'm sure there's more though, just haven't really thought about them Regards, Jon

Heh, My dad pulled me into the garage and handed me a play boy magazine, then he started talking about boobs when all I wanted to do was either get out of there or talk about other stuff. I was 14 at the time though, and already knew the things I actually needed to know from Nifty Archives Needless to say, if i remember correctly we were both embarrassed. As for actually ever giving the talk, think I've only done it once and all I ever said was make sure you use a condom. I assume that most teenagers are smart enough to figure out how the internet works and could probably teach me some things I know nothing about. Kind of reminds a person of the DomLuka story Dessert Droppings when Luke ended up giving Eddie the talk at the age of 13 rather than the other way around. Damn internet Regards Jon

Okay, I've officially come to the conclusion that finals suck. On the bright side after this next quarter I'll only have 7 more classes I have to take before I graduate, then it's no more working nights for me (I hope). I've also come to the conclusion that having to write papers and come up with powerpoint presentations for every single class I take is extremely annoying, thus I've decided that this next quarter around, I'll be coming up with my topics alot earlier then in the middle of the quarter, that way I'm not scrambling to get them done at the last minute. With all that said, I hope to have chapter 07 of Sunny's Angel completed sometime after next week when I go on break, and hopefully come up with more time to write. Sorry for the delay folks, I'm sure some of you are anxious for the next chapter. End rant Regards Jon

[Linxe Termoil] The Worst Week Ever by Linxe Termoil
Linxe Termoil replied to Graeme's topic in Stories Discussion Forum
Thanks everyone, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I've got my sights on the carpe diem anthology now, alas, I'm a bit stuck as to where to go. Hopefully inspiration will come to me. Speaking of which, I'm wondering if I can bring Andy and his family to the next anthology as well. Kind of an Anthology Series, just, in short stories that can run on their own. Tis a thought, just a wee thought. Jon -
think two words and two words only can sum this chapter up. Ah Crap.

I was thinking more along the line of Brad's older brother's tale. I keep thinking to myself, that with such republican parents, and him being openly gay, there had to have been something somewhere that had happened. It makes me wonder, did he have a hard time at first coming out to his parents, was he comfortable with the idea of being gay. The story was definitely great as a stand alone, but it's like...there's a story within the story that makes a person curious. Hope that makes sense, heheh. Thank you, I appreciate that you're enjoying the story. I'd say more but this topic is all about you.

The Sum of Two and Two by Jovian
Linxe Termoil replied to Graeme's topic in Stories Discussion Forum
I started reading this but had to stop, because it's definitely an uncomfortable story. So, I tried again, and succeeded. But I don't get it. It still made me uncomfortable and I think that's why, is because, I don't get it. Reading it I definitely feel the two are being held prisoner. One woman has lost her mind, and knows nothing, yet grows old. The boy, he's a prisoner as well, because he doesn't know who one parent is, but they both seem to be afraid of the same man, the serpent-man. And now I give up. The story is two complex and trying to imagine all this taking place in one room is beyond even my abilities, especially with no background or anything. Maybe I'll try reading it again. Was definitely interesting, once I got through it. What a puzzle Jon -
been there done that. (editted everything after this, I was apparently to tired to actually think before typing, sorry for the derail) anyways, now that you mention the if you love something let it go factor. I can see that part in this story. one boy let his boyfriend go on a modelling tour because he didn't want to hold his boyfriend back, and because he did so they both just kinda almost ended up miserable in the end. thankfully the vacation to europe fixed that Hrm, but, because the boyfriend insisted his boyfriend go on the tour (I'm having a horrible time with names right now, I was up till 8:30 this morning reading "a new brother" by graeme) it made them both realize just how much they really did love each other. So it all worked out

[Tiff] Good Intentions, My Friend by Tiffani Chin
Linxe Termoil replied to Graeme's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Ouch. That's all I can say, is Ouch. Terry was killing himself with his actions, even if he did in reality test negative, and Lawrence was the one that signed the death warrant. Good story, just wish the ending was different. Unfortunately, life doesn't always finish with happy endings Jon -
I swear, the cop shoulda just done more then given him a ticket that first night a year ago. Definitely shows a a person oughtta speak up about their feelings sooner J

Awwwww. I almost cried. If i ever get my hands on someone I wanna keep, I don't think I'll ever let em go after reading this.

A Father's Son by Mark Arbour

Hahah, what a weirdly erotic way of coming out. I can see the major oops factor in that. J -
Aww. I hope my kitty got my other kitty pregnant. Need some rain too, glad spring is coming upon us. Wonderful story with a great ending Jon

[Jack Frost] The Comfort of a Blanket by Jack Frost
Linxe Termoil replied to Graeme's topic in Stories Discussion Forum
Another good story, good ending as well. I don't usually read time-period pieces either, at least not when they're set to formally, but, I definitely enjoyed this one. Jon -
Hahah. I didn't see that one coming at all. I loved the question at the end. And I agree, parents need to learn to knock, or at least not have keys to a boys dorm room. It's just rude, the boy's all grown up now, doesn't need mommy and daddy coming in unannounced. Jon

Hahah. I think I started laughing from the scarecrows part of the letter and on. It just kept getting better and better. I'm choking on a brownie right now cause I'm still laughing too hard OMG that was definitely funny. I especially really liked the part about where the boys couldn't tell becky about the girl he was wrestling with in the hay or the other girl in the outer paddock... That was just way to great. Thanks for the good read Jon

Listen to Your Heart by Dolores Esteban

Was a wonderful story. I could see the images in my head of the meetings and conversations taking place. I almost feel that though they weren't the bestest of friends, that if they wanted too they could indeed find love, having an open communication from the start. Was definitely a good read. Jon -
A Whole Other You by Comicality
Linxe Termoil replied to Graeme's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
Another story with a straight boy's pov. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. And yeah, I was picturing the in the closet scene (I even found that rather ironic too, at first) and what was going on in the room. I still think Mike shoulda gone out there and kicked Devon's butt for taking advantage of his little brother like that, totally. ::nods and imagines a buttsore Devon:: Jon -
I liked this story as well. I found it really interesting that the story came from the perspective of a straight boy rather than a gay boy. It's not something I'm used to seeing. Unless the boy is actually bi (I'm sorry, I'm horrible with names, I read this a couple nights ago and had to think about it a bit) I think his name was Brad. So, now i'm just wondering, when do we get the rest of the story that happened before all this? I'm sure there's some more oopsies somewhere, heheh. Jon

[David McLeod] Master of Fire
Linxe Termoil replied to David McLeod's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Definitely like where things are going with this story. It almost seems like Chandler and Marty are meant for one another, especially as they just recently finally shared with the two farm boys. It's interesting noting that chandler seems to have a brilliant strategical mind and grasps the concepts of things going on that are involved with war. It almost seems like he is a paladin of some sort. Now the question is, when will they head to war, who will their companions be, and how far will they have to travel before true trouble arises. [DomLuka] A Little Deeper

ooh, just saw this thread. I don't think Dennis ever touched Ben. If I remember correctly, Dennis called Ben over to talk to him, but Lyle and one of his friends showed up and Dennis wasn't expecting them, so he went along with what they did, but from what I recall, he never actually touched Ben, just let it happen, and called Leo to let him know. Leo feels Dennis set the ambush up and since Ben can't completely recall what happened, they have no idea that Dennis didn't actually touch Ben. I'm also of the opinion that Dennis probably never got the chance to actually tell Leo what happened before all their fighting started, it kind of makes sense to me that Leo probably just walked in one day and started swinging his fists in what he feels was a justifiable manner, and Dennis being the hotheaded tough guy at the time never tried to bother explaining it. You can see he has no real anger or hatred toward Ben when he saw him in the store and Lyle bearing down on Ben at the same time, Dennis distracted Lyle so Ben could get away. What I don't get is why the hell didn't Ben ever say something to Leo about that. I think it'd go a long way toward solving their hatred of each other. But, I have a feeling Travis may say something at some point in time, or, something will happen where the full truth of the matter actually comes out and the situation becomes resolved Also in love with Travis and Dennis J.M. "I'm sorry daddy," James said in a quivering voice, "But I'm hungry."

Ooh...I'm fairly confident he'll finish the story someday. My understanding is he has the outline written, just needs to go back and re-read what he wrote and start up again. From what he once said WT is a project that he has a hard time writing. It's also my understanding that he's trying to sort out some other things he has going on. (ITFB, HS, and the story in the premie's section) So I'll be patient, I'm just speculating, is all. And as for being popular or not amongst the most hardened domaholics, well...that's okay, I'm sure it has it's own fan base, like many of his other stories. Offering his not so silent support, J.M. Bop.
