Oh yeah! Funny you should mention that. I just watched it about two weeks ago. I've always been disappointed that they have never been able to film "Atlas Shrugged". Modern Classics. There are several most of which have been listed. Maybe "Interview With the Vampire" Of course I maintain that Julian Sands (of Warlock) would have been a better Lestat than Tom Cruise, but that is just my opinion.

I only mentioned the John Wayne movie "True Grit" in a previous post in this thread. I'm not really sure that I can come up with a definitive list of favorite movies, there have been so many that I have enjoyed and have watched more then once. BUT... having thought about it, the following list is a few that would populate any list of what I would consider "Classic" movie favorites. My personal favorite John Wayne movie is "True Grit" for which he won an Oscar. I see that they are remaking it. That doesn't surprise me though. That seems to be all that Hollywood can do these days... remake classic movies. Apparently, there must be a dearth of talent able to write screenplays for new movies so they have to recycle the classics and not always for the better.

Not really surprising and not the first time. Probably won't be the last either. Miramar never released "Edges Of The Lord" in the US. The movie starred Haley Joel Osment and was about a 12-year-old Jewish boy who hides with a family of Catholic peasant farmers to escape the Nazis. It was released in 2001 in Poland. His family tried to get it released in the US to no avail and from reports at the time, was never given a reason for it not being released. "I Love You, Phillip Morris" looks to be a fun movie. Speculation as to why it hasn't been release in the US would be an exercise in futility. And the entertainment industry wonders why their products are pirated.

Remember what a big thing that a relatively "small" group of drag queens started at Stonewall. Where would gay rights be today if that hadn't of happened. Seems to me that this whole prom thing falls into the same "small" category. It is sad that so many seem to forget what were the important issues in their lives when they were teens in high school. It certainly wasn't discrimination in the workplace or the military. It wasn't whether or not gays could get married. The "big" issues for a gay student in high school may seem to be petty, unimportant and small to those of us who have to deal with the bigoted discrimination of the adult world, but consider, fighting those petty, unimportant, small battles is really preparing those high schoolers for fighting the battles they will face as they leave school. Tell them to sit down and STFU often enough and they might not bother to get up again. As for today's media. Print media sees their circulation numbers falling, broadcast news media sees their rating numbers dropping and they become desperate to stop the plunge to oblivion, so they will latch on to anything that they can sensationalize and drive it into the ground blowing it all out of proportion to the actual event. The more controversial, or the more horrendous, the more and longer they harp on it. I doubt, with few exceptions, that what some would refer to as "Journalistic Integrity" continues to exist in any great measure. What this girl did may have been a small battle and will not in and of itself win the war, but every small victory is like the small chips the sculptor makes in the large block of marble to eventually expose the beautiful statue hidden within. FWIW that's my $.02.

To be Honest, it's a tossup between the first and second series as to which I liked more. I'm kinda of leaning toward the second series over the first. Waiting until September for the third to start is going to be difficult. The one thing that I await is to see how Uther meets his end. I don't recall anything in the legends about Uther. Arthur, well according to legend... nevermind.

According to the interview they are in the process of taping the third series now. Has there been any indication as to when the series will start?

I thought about Sequoyah also, but in "Magic Mountain" it's a piano and in "A Special Place" it's an organ. Thought about Paul Walker's "Sad Song For A Gay Teen", but again not it. Oh well! Maybe some day. Thanks for trying.

Thanks. When ever that fragment pops up, I keep hoping that I remember more. So far that hasn't happened. The only other thing that I remember is that it was a good story. Well, thanks for trying. If something more gets jogged loose, I'll post it.

Not my computers memory, mine! LOL I can recall reading a story where the main character is a teen boy who plays the guitar. Now I realize that that covers an ungodly huge number of stories. The only other thing that I recall is that not only does he play rock guitar, he is also an accomplished classical acoustic guitar player. A prodigy, so to speak. Because of his classical guitar ablity he is invited to perform in a concert with the symphony orchestra, where he plays all of or a movement from Joaquín Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez. I think he was invited to perform, but really don't remember how that came about. All I remember is that he does perform. The problem is, that is all that I remember about the story. Try as I might I can recall nothing else, no names, locations, other events, plot lines, etc. Even where I might have read it is a blank. It is like, as far as this story is concerned, I've had almost a complete memory wipe. My question is, does this very small amount of information about the story ring a bell with anyone? Hopefully, an author... a title maybe? Perhaps, I'll be doomed to live with this memory fragment haunting me from time to time

As a reader, I rarely go to Nifty looking for something to read. IMHO, a very large percentage of the stuff that is on Nifty is crap. About the only time that I do go there is when I am caught up on all of the stories that I am following and am waiting for new chapters to be posted. (and " An English Teen, Circumcised in the USA" is one that I am following) Fortunately, I do not have to go there very often, because there are enough excellent authors and quality stories on quality sites to fulfill my reading needs. If I were an author and a site admin changed the title of one of my stories without consulting me with a legitimate reason for it to be changed, I believe that I would pull all of my stories from that site and cease any and all support and then tell the fans of my stories why they are unable to read at that site and direct them to wherever I moved my stories. Anyway, That is just my opinion. Oh! As some others have mentioned, it was the title that caught my interest.

I have one as part of my broadband/cable package. It it is usually forwarded to my cell when I'm out running around which is most of the time. Then I usually forget to unforward it when I get home. LOL

Yep! I wear what I call my "Old Man Hat". Think of the hat that Spencer Tracy wore in "On Golden Pond". Started wearing it when I no long had much left on top to keep me head warm.
