I do, but sometimes I wonder why I bother. We had a local news report here recently which showed some of these recycling trucks taking stuff to the local incinerator. Why then should I even make the effort?

I'm in agreement with Graeme on this, I write what I write because I enjoy it, plus it allows my sometimes vivid imagination a huge amount of freedom. I can't say for certain if people like what I've done because the story has only been up a couple of days, but from the feedback I have had it seems to have gone down ok. I really don't think option 1 would work with that many writers, because whilst it may be popular, you're not truly writing something that you enjoy or feel comfortable with. That I feel would be pretty transparent on the page. I do agree with leshwar though in that you would be better finding a venue that is more compatible with your work. That said, this site more than others I have been on, is far more diverse as regards the genres available. Just my observations.

Thanks for the comments, appreciated. I will try that technique because sometimes I can be so totally blinded I fail to see blatant errors. As for the editor, yeah I do have one now, so chapter 2 will go out as I really want it.

A dream! I know, I have a weird ass imagination & read far too many horror fantasies for my own good. But the main concept of the story, which I haven't revealed yet, is based on a dream I had. The rest I guess, without giving to much away, will be what I've always wanted to see in a story.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah the title is a liitle bit of a giveaway, but there is a little more to it than that as you will see in Chapter 2. On a side note, CH1 did go out without me having an editor & I know it shows in a few places. It will be revised soon & chapter 2 should be up within a week, editing permitting.
