    Chapter 1

    It's a wonderful story Thanks
  2. Retelling the Rumpelstilskin fable was brilliant, with all the gory bits a kid (and others) love. The female protagonist comes off as helpless as in the original. Leaving the ending open as you did also was masterful, leaving the princes' future unresolved. No happy ending here.

    Chapter 4

Got to agree with the sentiments in the comments. Greed leads to malevolence on one side which disempowers and leads to apathy on the other side. On a brighter note, hopefully, recognition and empowerment of indigenous peoples is coming. All we need is more black opal

    Chapter 3

Thanks again. Aunty will understand I'm sure. The theatrics of the earth magic really added to the spectacle. I was there with them as they gathered. A very well written, involving chapter.

    Chapter 2

Thanks for another intriguing chapter. Woorawa is definitely coming to more power. The Aunties in community are vital to the functioning of any family and serve as mum to all their children. As are Uncles. For me you've made a pretty fair representation of our First Nations peoples. Thanks

    Chapter 1

I was wondering what happened to our snake-oil salesman PM Morrison, my local MP. He always has been close to the mining lobby since he brought a chunk of coal to Parliament. The representation of the way the Elders work rang through to me with my own experience with our indigenous Australians. The way a majority can be swayed by clever talk and "crumbs" is representative of the way a majority of australian's voted to not recognize we even have an indigenous population. Your story brings hope. Thanks for that.

    Epilogue

Thanks for writing your story. I understand what you mean about "struggle". Now it's finished I've promised myself to devote the time it deserves to appreciate it. I have dabbled with it during your creation phase and know from what I've read that it that I will find it thought provoking and confronting. Thank you.
  8. Hi gabz2000. Happy New Year. I hope life is treating you well at the moment and you're enjoying where you're at. Congratulations on what you've achieved so far and hope the best is yet to come.

    Guidance

Thank you for this beautiful vision of the afterlife. Not too schmaltzy and very gentle in it's exploration of the surviving partners experience. Hopefully that's the way it is and we'll all be reunited after death. Easy to empathize with the characters as they are pretty down to earth.

    Chapter 12

Answers to questions. New futures mapped out. Marriage and a genetically matched child. The beginnings of a new clan. Old powers manifesting in young vampires. Loss of family/families and new relationships gained. No, I don't think you set yourself a high bar for the next book.🀣 Third person, first person, second person once removed. Whichever you choose you'll have my undying gratitude, in a non-vamp way. Thanks for all your stories, they are graciously given and gratefully received. 🌟⭐⭐⭐⭐
  11. Good story which I found a little hard hitting at times. Thank god for the additional chapter. I was totally bummed by the "other ending". I checked the link to see what Adam looked like and he was cute but the image didn't match my imagined boy. My imagination showed a bit of a farm-boy for some reason not backed up by your story. The situations of the characters were plausible in the main. Thanks for creating this story for us.
  12. Well you did say action packed. No false advertising there. Now to find out how they get the police information.
  13. Having only known Carlos through his stories and responses, I feel I had the right of him from your piece. Thank you for saying the words I felt on discovering his passing. The sense of bereavement but also, unexpectedly, a feeling of closeness to him over the period he's been gone. Happy travels to you also as I believe Carlos is wishing us all.

    Chapter 11

Feeling for Greg at the moment. He's lost his own dad, is re-making his home into his own, getting rid of a lot of excess baggage, created two "sons"......... and now has to do to Brian's dad what needs doing. Even if it is Brian's decision, Greg is still the ranking "brother" so it will be hard to lessen the impact on Brian. Personally I like the idea of Brian's dad: (a) discovering pants can be used in the home; and (b) realizing an unfilled desire to get sober and look after otherwise unloved cats. Realizing the love of his wife as an equal and his son would be a bonus. But hey, it's a new year so anything is possible.

    Chapter 10

Whatever. I'm rooting for both but then I was wrong on the last call tooπŸ™„ Thanks for plugging the benefits of valerian. Smells horrible but very relaxing after a harrowing vampire story.😁
