Oh, don't worry, Gabriel will have plenty of his own medicine thrust down his throat very shortly, figuratively speaking. The thing with Gabriel is that he doesn't understand why Uzzy is so concerned about saving humans. He wants all out war as fast and hard as possible. He wants to take the army, attack Micha'el and wipe him off the face of the earth... and the heavens. The fact is, Gabri'el knows they can win the battle and he doesn't understand why the mass slaughter of humans should be a consideration. Uzzy has held the army on a leash on the basis that they fight a guerilla war out of sight of humanity as far as possible. He feels that every human who dies is one too many. So now it's down to Uzzy to undo the damage Gabri'el has done and re persuade everyone to pull back...... or will he. His beloved is in the hands of the enemy. Will he have the restraint to continue to hold back... especially when Micha'el impatient with how things are going, decides to start playing with Pasha

Thank you for your comment. The Chapter are short because it's posting on my blog as part of a Wednesday flash club. Every wednesday we have to post a story, or chapter of a story of no more than 1000 words. Therefore the chapters will never be more than 1000 words long. As to whether it will be a short story, i have no idea. I can''t see it ending anytime soon i'm glad you're enjoying. Gabriel is an arch manipulator. he means well... in his own head. The thing with Gabriel is that he has no time for humans, they are little more than animals, so he would have thought nothing of handing Pasha over.

Celyn couldn’t bear it: he felt that he was intruding on something intensely private and so he got to his feet and looked towards the doorway where the two children still stood, watching. With a great effort he smiled. “Hello. You are free now. You can come out. We won’t hurt you.” At the sound of his voice the two children stepped into the light. The boy looked to be about ten years old, the girl three or four years older. He froze at the sight of them. They were so familiar and y

Darkness enfolded him. Deep darkness. The kind of darkness that breathes. Every now and again there were voices, snippets of conversation, bright pulses of light, pain, screams, the smell of burning, the touch silk, of flesh, of metal. But it always came back to the darkness. The thick, black, breathing darkness. “Dammit Uzzi’el, will you please wake up.” Should he open his eyes? Part of him said he should and part of him didn’t have the energy to care. “Right. You asked for it.” There was a su

You've hit the nail on the head. A relationship of complete dependence can't work in the long run. Silver has to find his own strength somewhere. I think River is really struggling. He feels horribly guilty that he hasn't been there for Ben and he's still mourning the loss of their parents, so he clings to Ben even though he knows he's hurting Silver. At some level he wants to hurt him, to punish him for making his life so difficult. It's a childish but natural feeling. Of course, he wouldn't do it consciously because he really does love Silver. But who doesn't hit out at those they love sometimes? Especially in times of great stress.

Chapter 9 - Unwelcome Visitors
Nephylim commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 9 - Unwelcome Visitors
Bad dogma doesn't make bad people. It gives fodder to bad people. Sophy is a bitch of the highest order and she would be no matter what religion she was. Essentially she's evil to anyone who doesn't go along with what she wants and in this case she has religion to hide her nastiness behind. -

Chapter 19 Why Am I Feeling Like This
Nephylim commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 19 Why Am I Feeling Like This
Ah, Gabriel's motives are complex and he's the arch manipulator. He has plans within plans and he's used to getting what he wants. In one was or another both Pasha and Uzzy are in his way. To be fair he's been quite creative. -
Chapter 19 Why Am I Feeling Like This

Thank you The fact is that he DOES have the emptiness of Pasha in his head and Gabriel is exploiting that. He is a big meanie and well find out just how much next time -
Chapter 19 Why Am I Feeling Like This
Nephylim commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 19 Why Am I Feeling Like This
Hmm... don't forget that the link means that each experience what the other is. The reason Uzzy feels half asleep all the time is that Pasha IS asleep all the time and the fog in his head coming from Pasha. Therefore poor Uzzy isn't thinking clearly at all. If he was he would be far more suspicious of Gabriel and his motives. Don't forget, at the end, that Gabriel has offered to 'help' Uzzy open up the link with Pasha so he's opening his mind even more to whatever's going on with Pasha. The question is..... Is Gabriel innocently trying to help Uzzy or does he know exactly what will happen when the connection is made? -

He does? FABULOUS review as always. Gabti'el's... well you'll have to wait until next week to find out what Gabe is and what he's done. Actually it's not about making the bond weaker, just the reverse really -
Chapter 19 Why Am I Feeling Like This

He's got his own agenda and that's for sure. -
Uzzi’el paced the small room. It was oppressive and he could barely stand the claustrophobia. His mind was racing, yet curiously blank and he felt…wrong. “Will you please sit down?” Gabri’el snapped. “We have important things to discuss.” “But where is he?” “Where is who?” “Pasha.” “How the hell do I know? Back at home I should think, unless he was stupid enough to try to leave.” “Why can’t I feel him?” “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Gabriel stretched his long, lean body, put

Chapter 18 Don't Leave Me
Nephylim commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 18 Don't Leave Me
Well, there is another way Micha'el might have got past the guards :) We'll find out soon. Thanks as always for the comment -
Celyn, walking behind them was filled with mixed emotions. He was envious of their closeness, whilst recognising that it was a desperate one; fragile in that it could so easily be torn apart at any moment. He wondered what would happen if Marc’s body, in its hospital bed, should fail. What would happen to the Marc that was here? Would he disappear or would he go on? Would he remain here, trapped forever, neither alive nor dead, with no physical body to return to? And if so would Mererid cho

Chapter 18 Don't Leave Me
Nephylim commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 18 Don't Leave Me
Well damn girl you did it again. I'm grinning all over my face. I think it was inevitable that, at some time or another, Pasha was going to become a pawn. Micha'el will stop at nothing to win this war. He's under orders after all. Oh, and he loves it. One of his favoutite occupations is wiping out humans. As Fiero said he's already started the slaughter and one pathetic human isn't going to stand in his way. Except that he does. With Pasha in his hands he has leverage over Uzzy. Hopefully he doesn't know about the connection. At the moment he's going to have to get word to Uzzy and use Pasha as a bargaining tool. Trouble is... Gabri'el. As soon as he knows Pasha is in Micha'el's hands he's going to be chaining Uzzy to the wall...metaphorically speaking...maybe. He's not going to risk him ruining things. The war is a big deal and I think the future of humanity lies in the balance here. On the other hand, that might be exactly what Gabri'el wants... and excuse to get Uzzy out of the picture so the guys will follow HIM and not Uzzy. I mean, did he even put guards on the house, and if he did were they stopping people getting in or getting out? Hmm. I'm not actually sure of the answers but I guess I'll find out as I go along. I like Simon and Garfunkel. Anyone with hair like that has to be cool... don't they. And I love that particular song. Of course I do the first line is ... Hello darkness my old friend -
Chapter 18 Don't Leave Me
Nephylim commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 18 Don't Leave Me
Whoever suggested that Angels are subtle???? Pasha was never intended to be a pawn but it certainly seems that this is what he is now. Question is... did Micha'el overpower Gabri'el's guards or...not. -
Chapter 18 Don't Leave Me
Nephylim commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 18 Don't Leave Me
Hehe, what can I say. I wonder if Micha'el knows that Pasha and Uzzy share feelings. Wouldn't it be terrible if he did coz then he could torture Pasha and Uzzy would feel it. Damn. That would be terrible. Let's just hope he doesn't find out -
When Gabri’el had gone there was silence. Pasha had no idea what to say. Eventually, he had to break the silence. “You remember then?” “Yes.” “Those men who came were right, weren’t they? You are a warrior and, from their point of view, you are an escaped criminal.” “Yes.” Uzzi’el wouldn’t meet his eyes. He stared at the floor and chewed on his lip. “And you’re dangerous.” That wasn’t a question but Uzzi’el answered anyway. “Yes.” “What have you done to me?” Uzzi’el knelt before Pasha, h

GASP you want to destroy angels???? Keep away from Mr Sexy Wings or else!!! Gabe wasn't really hurt. He's an arrogant prick He deserves to be taken down a peg or two. On the other hand he's not a complete baddy either

I think Gabe is all of the above Unfortunately the chapters are never going to be longer because they are in fact my weekly flash fiction group offerings so every week you'll have exactly 1000 words.,, or a little less.. Thank you again for your support

Thank you. This whole section, maybe the whole book is about just that... finding the person inside who has no chains.
-
Are you sure about that? Silver and River have a very one sided relationship and I think maybe Silver needs to learn to stand on his own two feet a little more. Maybe he needs to go back to move forward. Thank you as always for your comment

Thank you. It looks as if Uzzy and Gabe have a history. Uzzy said he keeps going back and keeps getting hurt. This time is different though because this time Pasha was there. I think the fact that they feel each other's feelings helped Uzzy make the break with Gabe. Pasha is a good guy for sure, although I think he wouldn't have been so cool with Uzzy and Gabe if he hadn't been linked with Uzzy
