Quiet House - 1. Quiet House

Quiet House


Lights are out in this house,

Candles lit, shadows dancing on the walls.

Your eyes are darker in the dimness of the room.

Quiet falls, only breathing.


And you whisper in the dark,

How your arms are strong,

How safe they are,

And that there will be no harm.


I can smell you,

Your mix of soap and shaving cream.

I can feel your smile on my cheek.

And your hand finds mine.


Your devotion is in your kiss,

And love in your gentleness.

Passion in your fingertips,

And happiness in your laugh.


The quiet in the room, lends itself to whispers.

And as you dream,

My name is,

Your whisper in the dark.

Aww. My Poetry is easy to read in general, but I like that the imagery was projected really well and that if flowed. I just need to stop writing poetry about Aaron, if he knew I showed everyone other than him, he might blush.. haha
