Weathered - 1. Anthology Poem One

Weathered

Foster

A down pour of sunshine
Fun time
Has me on the run
A tickling wind
Sickening sin
Perturbs me

I’m not that easy
Any more
Outside of breeze
And blue sky and white cloud
The day couldn’t get worse
This clarity of horizon
Expands my isolation
Discontented
Desolation
Pointless
My destination

Grounded with fright
This light
The sight
Of blight
Bright spectrum specters
Flowers and birds
Bees and things
Getting busy
Goddamn misery

I want
A little thunder
A little lightening
Ominous omens
A world reflective
I want some passionate destruction
Amen

You manage sometimes
To make me rumble
Feel your static
The approaching
Potential doom
Full of garlic bread
Your breath mayonnaise
Staring startled
Beating the spoon
Against my last shelter
You know the buzz I feel
Hate me for it
But I know
You want to surrender
You want me to take
I want you to swallow
Softy I think
I should love
But the scratch
Drives me
Quickened
Is this moment
Too much to ask

Sam, you seem to want out of the expected. No sunshine and simplicity but offer up some thunder and destruction. A poem of change and chance to escape but to what?
Thank you for reading Wayne and taking the time to comment. A poem wears a different expression for every reader. It can even be closed and remote to one and revealing and shocking to another. I don't plan out my poems I have no motive except to be in someway "satisfied" by making something I think has value. They are what they are.

An absorbing work. The sexual nuance is pronounced. But I didn't understand the reference to food.
Thank you for reading Louie. I'm a sexy guy, so I am just full of nuance :P The food reference, I don't know if I told you what I was thinking if it would help you see where it fits if it fits. I rather you have your own thoughts about the poem good or bad.

The feeling this poem gives me is "conflicted." I feel quite torn from the character's unsure yet very strong emotions. Yeah, it's really interesting and thought provoking. I really like it. Thanks for the great work!
Hey Cole, thanks for reading and making a comment. I tend to be governed strongly by emotion to the dismay of all the logical in the world... I know it takes both. My emotion is logical to me.
