Demon of fire and other poems of lust, insanity and devotion - 4. Stillness
Preeviously posted in poetry, now moved to where it belongs
Stillness …
The silence of the room
allows me to listen to my breathing,
or is it yours I’m hearing?
You’re in the distance
and by my side there’s stillness,
but I am not alone, or am I?
your warmth spreads over my soul
and makes me tingly,
your image fills the void.
I hear your breathing and I am not alone,
but there’s stillness.
I dare to feel your essence
with such intensity
It keeps me safe and warm
It’s late and I am awake …
You’re not by my side, but you are.
I’m not alone.
And in the room there’s stillness.
