Demon of fire and other poems of lust, insanity and devotion - 2. Collision

Previously posted in Poetry. Moved to where it belongs!

Our paths have crossed …

… collided,

as strongly as the tide against the rock

and smoothly as your hair against the pillow

Shock of waves,

Explosion.

Our paths have crossed …

… collided,

collided with such furious emotion

I cannot even breathe or act upon it.

I can’t breathe.

Implosion.

Our paths have crossed

abruptly,

so suddenly that I can barely think,

and I can only manage to consider

whatever will I do.

Savage sea,

Devotion.

Our paths have crossed …

The roar of two big galaxies colliding.

Chapter Comments

As I mentioned before, I really respond to the lyric-like refrain of words like explosion, implosion and devotion in this poem. Another beautiful one!

You use such powerful words... words we use to describe destruction, yet here in the end they dont mean that at all.
