Homeless Adam wanders the dilapidated buildings for food and warmth in an abandoned street called Heidgate. Clearly ill, regularly sexually assaulted and in need of medical attention he waits each week for a charity bus to turn up so he can eat and get warm. One of the helpers, clearly concerned about his welfare takes an interest and pity in him. However the person is not who they appear to be. In fact, Adam is soon to find out, nothing is as it appears to be. Little will be known at first, but for both the helper and Adam? Time is running out!

I was tempted to give this story a pass due to the Sci-Fi genre.  However I was urged by a few other readers to give it a try. I am very happy I have done so and I urge anyone else reading the reviews and deciding whether or not to read give it a try.

James is a wonderful author and quickly the characters in this story came to life it was like I could actually go visit Adam or Brandon. I felt I could make a trip and visit Heidgate and meet Sage or Fred. I was left with clear pictures of the places and the people it was so alive.

I laughed I cried in spots. I was upset and tense in others. I could see this as a big screen movie. Yes this certainly different from the other stories James has written but in my opinion well worth the read.

This awesome story is something a bit different from @James Matthews as we get a Sci-Fi story.

We meet Adam a homeless boy walking the streets of Heidgate, doing whatever he can to survive. One of the helpers at the Charity Bus, not who they seem takes an interest and pity in Adam.

Before we know it Adam and his friend Sage, who happened to be in the wrong place at the right time are whisked away from Earth on the adventure of a lifetime to the planet Purity.

This story deserves to be read, as with all of James stories we have scenes of abuse ( unfortunately), sadness, but plenty of happy moments.

Highly recommended as a great Sci-Fi story.

Response from the author:

Thanks so much for the review Chris and for the kind words about my stories. I'm super made up you enjoyed Purity. Something tells me, we'll see Adam and Castro again :)
