Rocky Prompts, Tennessee - 6. PT #16: Love in the Night

PT #16 Prompt - Creative
"The Gay Snowman. How does a snowman find love?"
This one's a little short, but enjoy!

Peeping through his eyelids, he saw it was night. Opening them, he scanned the neighborhood. “Good,” he whispered, “they’re all asleep.”

“Just figuring that out?”

The snowman whipped around, startled at the question. Next to him stood another! “How… who are you?”

The new and mysterious snowman shirked. “Not sure. I’m guessing you’ve been here for a bit?”

“I-uh… a couple days now.”

“That’s cool. I was made this afternoon. You do a good job acting, bud.” He swiveled to face him. “Did they name you?”

“Jimmy, and you?”

“Tank,” he scoffed. “Not going to lie, the bigger kid in there did all the work on me, then teased his sister for making a smaller snowman.”

Jimmy scowled. “Really? That’s a dick move, don’t you think?”

“Right?” exclaimed Tank. “I always thought shorter was better.”

“W-what?”

“Cute and adorable,” purred the bigger man.

Jimmy was taken aback! “You… you like me?”

“Arcticly. Not very often a snowman gets created next to another. I’ve waited many lifetimes, and I’m not sure if I can do it again.”

The smaller one could only smile. He understood the life cycle and how some souls lingered for centuries. “Did… did you want to—”

“Yes.”

“Mommy! Dylan broke my snowman!” Melly cried out and pointed at the window. Tears came as she saw the two heaping piles of snow on top of each other.
