Parasitic Love Redux - 29. Drone

It had been almost two whole days since M's experiment had started with the drone. Nothing had happened with it yet and M was becoming more and more depressed because of it.

"Maybe the agent knew something about the orb I didn't," M had said on more than one occasion. "Maybe it's broken. Maybe I never will see mother again."

Connor didn't know what to say to the blond. He gave him a big hug and supported him, emotionally, but he didn't know anything about alien technology. He couldn't help him.

Connor sent all this to Bradley as his morning update. The past few days had been uneventful. Bradley had been encouraged by M's return and his insistence the drone project would solve all their problems. She was pretty bummed out by the whole thing. They all were.

Almost nothing was happening on Bradley's end. The doctors up there were just as confused about Hannah's condition as they had been in Florida.

Bradley had secured a new apartment though. And the bitch even had a couple interviews for new jobs in the coming week…

Connor was jealous.

He put his phone away and hurried to catch up with the dog. They'd just finished the third leg of their journey and were on the last part, through the neighborhood. Connor was eager to get back. He wanted to check his Indeed profile again.

They were getting close to Julie's when Connor saw a bike out on the curb, next to the trash. Curious, he crossed the street and pulled the bike into a standing position.

It wasn't a bike at all! It was a mo-ped! And it was in pretty decent condition too. It was painted a dusty blue and Connor loved it!

***

Midway through the afternoon, Connor took a break from tinkering with the mo-ped in the garage and went out back to sit by the pool.

The dog laid peaceful out in the grass, in a patch of sunlight unobstructed by the shadow of the house.

Connor took his phone out and flipped through contacts until he found Marcus. Taking a deep, calming breath, he dialed his number.

After a few rings, Marcus picked up.

"This is Marcus."

"Hey Marcus," Connor said. "It's me. Connor. I haven't heard from you in a while."

"Oh, hey, man. Things have been kind of crazy. I got a new job last week, too. I'm sorry. I've been real busy."

"Oh." Connor felt like a loser. "Are you working now? Do you have a minute to talk? That's what I wanted to ask you about, actually. Jobs."

"Um, what about them?"

"Advice?" Connor started to feel even more like a loser. Marcus sounded a lot different than the last time they'd talked. He was so guarded and cold now…

"I am working today, actually," Marcus said. "But you actually caught me during our lunch break," he said. "I had to get away from the other guys so I could talk more freely, but I'm in my truck now. What's up, man?"

Marcus' voice had warmed up in just seconds. Connor relaxed into the pool chair and released a huge sigh of relief.

"I thought you were going to leech off Rose's paycheck for as long as possible. You're working now?"

Marcus laughed darkly. "So guess what? Rose's pregnant now, too."

Connor blinked. "Congrats?"

"No, dude. This sucks. I'm already sick of Rose and her...her… boringness," Marcus said at last. "She's boring, ok? She'd plain. She likes everything neat and tidy and has an obsession with putting everything in my house in order every time I invite her over. I've even screamed at her to stop once, but it didn't make any difference. She can't seem to help it," he said. "And she's controlling… She's terrified of you and your alien friend," he said bitterly. "So, I'm not allowed to talk to you anymore. Our friendship isn't safe."

Connor snorted. "She's a bitch."

"She's not being as sweet as she used to be," Marcus agreed with a heavy sigh. "She threatened to kick me out of my own apartment unless I agreed to get an actual job again, so, here I'm, working 12, sometimes 18 hours a day at a mold factory," Marcus complained and Connor felt kind of guilty all of a sudden for calling. Marcus had enough on his plate right now. "She said we need to start saving for the baby immediately," he continued. "Save and move into a 'nicer' place."

"Shit," Connor said.

"I've been meaning to call you… Just to vent, but Rose started checking my call log and my texts to make sure I'm 'being good'."

"Break up with her," Connor suggested.

"I would," Marcus hesitated. "But she's pregnant now. I'm going to owe her half my paycheck for the rest of this kid's life now."

"Get a vasectomy, at least. Don't have more than one. And you could always take the kid, you know. Then Rose will have to send you half her paycheck."

Marcus laughed. "Did you get snipped?"

"Not yet," Connor said darkly, thinking about M's sweet talk about two babies.

"Oh, what did you want to know about jobs?" Marcus asked suddenly and Connor's attention gladly shifted to the new topic.

"I'm not having any luck with Indeed or Craigslist. I want a job, Marcus!" Connor huffed with frustration.

"Apply for the factory where I work," Marcus said. "The pay is good and you'll get a ton of hours."

Connor cringed. "That's the thing, I'm avoiding factory work. Or anything that involves food. Or other people in general… I don't know exactly what I should be looking for," he sighed.

"I know," Marcus said. "A temp agency. They're all over the place downtown. I think most of them are free, all you have to do is bring in a resume and they'll ask you about yourself and what you're looking for… Tell them what you told me," Marcus said helpfully. "Then they'll find jobs for you. They're almost all just temp jobs… 30 days, 90 days, seasonal stuff… But sometimes it can land you a permanent position."

"Where can I find one?"

"Google."

"Ok," Connor said. "Thanks. I'll check it out tomorrow maybe. I'm trying to get some wheels, right now."

"Rose's dad gave me his old truck out of pity, I think," Marcus said bitterly. "He laughed the first time we pulled up in Rose's electric car and I crawled out of passenger side… but then I started coming over like, every weekend and I was always in Rose's cramped little car."

"Lucky you," Connor said.

Marcus laughed. "Whatever. I know I said I'm not allowed to talk to you, but it's alright if you text me," Marcus said. "And you can call around 2 most days. I'm here at work, usually on a lunch break."

Connor felt weird doing it, but he agreed. "Ok."

"Cool," Marcus said. "I want to hear what happens with the temp agency. Oh, and I'm dying to know what kind of alien shit you guys are up to inow," he laughed. "I've got to go back in though," he said quickly. "I said I'd meet up with the head boss before next shift starts."

"Alright," Connor said. "Don't kill yourself working too hard," he said.

Marcus laughed again. "I'll try."

Connor felt bad for Marcus, but it wasn't like he could do anything for him. .

He went inside and sat with M in the living room. The blond was trying not to show it, but the lack of progress with the drone was really destroying his mood. They'd yet to have sex again as amazing as they'd had it the other night… or sex at all, really.

But Connor still loved the stupid kid, no matter what. He ended up zoning out on a marathon of animated cartoons. M's pick, of course.

Later that night, maybe 20 minutes after Julie started dinner, Connor snuck into the kitchen and came up behind the woman as she stood at the stove.

"Jesus!" She cried, turning around to see Connor standing right behind her. "You scared me."

"Sorry," Connor said. "But I wanted to ask you something," he started. "Did you see that bike in the garage?"

"That trash?" Julie wrinkled her nose. "I saw it out on the curb this morning when I took Nathan to school," she said.

Connor frowned. "Well, it's not trash. It's a functioning mo-ped," he said. "I was wondering if you could fund a repair? I don't think the parts are very much. I could have a ride again for under $200."

Julie stepped around Connor and went to grab meat out of the fridge. Connor felt like he was being ignored and he spun around, a pout already plastered to his face.

"I'd much rather buy you a new one, if you need it that bad," she said at last, unwrapping the meat on the counter and laying strips out on a cutting board.

"I don't want to waste money on a new one," Connor said. "An old one is just what I need right now. I'm going to the temp agency tomorrow and I'll need some wheels to get me there."

Julie sliced the pork into narrower bits. She didn't even look up from her task. "Let me get you a used car then."

"Ugh! Mom! Cmon! Please…" Connor whined. "If you have to, think of this as a summer project."

Julie rolled her eyes. "Grab my purse then," she said. "My hands are a little busy right now."

Connor smiled and he went around the counter to grab Julie's purse. He pulled out keys to the Hummer and from her wallet, the black credit card.

"Dinner will be ready in less than an hour," Julie said. "Try to hurry back."

Connor nodded. Then he flew out through the garage with a grin on his face.

***

The next day, Connor woke up, walked the dog, grabbed something quick to eat, then went out to the garage to get to work on his bike.

Connor used to ride an old scooter around the trailer park, before he got his bike, anyway. It was a vintage toy the old man next-door used as a kid. He helped Connor put it back together.

That had been one of Connor's fonder childhood memories.

Of course, it had been tainted when the old man was dragged off to jail for running a small meth lab in his basement. Then, right after, some kids from school got ahold of the scooter and threw it down the quarry so it broke on the rocks.

Those stupid assholes…

Connor worked most of the day on the mo-ped, replacing the engine, the wheels, and the brakes. He tuned everything up, cleaned the frame and then hopped on for the moment of truth.

He turned the engine over and crowed with excitement when the bike came to life between his thighs. He steered her out of the garage and took off down the street. It was a thrilling ride. Connor's repairs were a complete success!

He left the neighborhood and zipped onto the main roadway. His heart was in his throat, but he held onto the clutch and confidently maneuvered through traffic.

He was laughing when he got back to the house maybe an hour later. Nathan and M ran out to greet him as he motored up the driveway. They came out timidly through the laundry room, and watched as Connor parked his beautiful beast and killed the engine.

"That thing's loud," Nathan said the second the whirling motor died down. "I like it," he said. "Very cool, bro."

"Thanks," Connor grinned. "Want to go on a test drive with me?" he asked, turning to M.

The blond looked intrigued, but also a bit terrified. "It looks really dangerous," he said.

"It is," Connor said. "And we should definitely get helmets. I don't know what I was thinking."

"Who cares about that," Nathan sneered. "Let me try it out!"

Warily, Connor stepped aside and let his little brother hop on. "Alright," he said. "But down to the stop sign and back. That's it."

Nathan's grin wouldn't be trampled. He turned the engine on, revved it a couple times, turned the bike manually with his feet, then he took off down the driveway at top speed.

Connor followed Nathan nervously down the the end of the drive. Nathan had turned at the last minute and was speeding down the street now. He slowed down, thank God, did a clumsy loop, then he sped back to the house. He stopped on a dime, screeching the tires across the pavement and leaving an ugly mark.

"Fuck you, were you trying to wipe out?" Connor snapped. He shoved Nathan off the bike and steered it carefully back into the garage. He didn't want to damage it in any way, he was so thankful Nathan hadn't just wiped out or had some other misfortunate accident. It was a fucking miracle.

Inside the garage, Connor leaned the mo-ped against the wall. "Nobody is allowed to touch this but me," he said firmly. "I'll kill anyone who touches it without my permission. Does everyone understand that?"

M nodded immediately. Nathan grudgingly followed suit. He looked so reluctant though, Connor stared him down until Nathan felt the burn of his wrath…

"Don't touch my bike, Nathan," he said.

"I won't," Nathan whined.

Connor was satisfied. For now.

"Did you tell him about the drone?" Nathan asked as the three of them went inside.

"Oh!" M perked up significantly. "I heard the laptop beeping from downstairs maybe an hour ago and when I got up to Nathan's room and checked the screen the status bar had finally reached 100%."

Connor raised his eyebrows. "Is she awake yet?"

"No," M said, and his expression slipped into one of frustration. "But something is happening. I can feel it."

Curious, Connor went straight through the kitchen and upstairs. As he approached Nathan's room, a strange feeling started to build inside him… He just knew there was somebody in that room…

When he reached the door, it was shut tight and ominously quiet. He reached out his hand for the doorknob, but it sprang open on its own before he could even touch it. It creaked open slowly and Connor waited in tense anticipation for something to jump out at them.

"Connor Flynn," said a feminine, robotic voice. "I was wondering when we'd meet again."

Behind Connor, there was a gasp of shock. He glanced over his shoulder to see he'd been followed by both M and Nathan.

M was the one covering his mouth with amazement, gasping and crying like a girl… Nathan looked interested and maybe a little fearful as well. Connor thought that was probably wise.

The glowing drone oscillated Nathan's messy room at a slow, unhurried pace.

M stepped into the room first, his eyes misty with tears of joy. Connor and Nathan edged into the room behind him. Both of them were rightfully wary. Aliens couldn't be trusted.

"Little M," the robot said next. "It's so good to see you."

"It's good to see you too, Mother," M said, teary-eyed. "We should have done this sooner… We're together now."

Mother had no response. She turned around Connor slowly and did a scan of him with her glowing, green power beam.

"The last time we spoke wasn't a pleasant affair," she said to Connor.

"No," Connor said.

"I was trying to warn you about something," she added, "but I don't remember what."

Connor made a face. "You were trying to tell me about M's pregnancy," he said. "You shouldn't have beat around the bush. You should have just told me. I don't like surprises."

"I see," Mother said. "How is he, anyway? The baby?"

M moved a little closer to Connor, rubbing his stomach vigorously like a mystic rubbed a crystal ball…

"Fine," Connor shrugged. "It must be a weird time of year or something, almost every couple we know is pregnant. The baby will have lots of friends, I guess."

He put his arm around the blond and leaned in to kiss his neck. "This is fucking weird," he whispered into his soft ear.

M elbowed him in reply.

"The two of you make a nice looking couple," Mother said suddenly.

"Hear that? You picked a mother-approved boyfriend," Connor joked, hugging M enthusiastically.

"I have a good feeling about the future of your family, little M," Mother said.

"Thanks," M said awkwardly. He nervously rubbed the back of his head, making a blond lock of hair stick up like a sprout.

Connor fixed it for him. He smoothed the lock of hair back into place with his palm, but the drone had flown away from them already. She didn't see the tender move.

"I think I need to some rest now," Mother said. She flew to the back of the room and rested herself on the edge of the desk, beside the laptop.

Through some invisible force, she willed the USB cord hooked into the laptop to move on its own. Gracefully, the cord coiled itself into the shape of a striking cobra. Then it lunged, sliding smoothly into the drone's port. Afterwards, the cord fell limp.

"But… But what about the rogue agent guy? Can you stop him?" Nathan spoke up and for the first time since they'd entered the room, Connor realized Nathan wasn't goofing around or bullshitting or anything. His face was a hundred percent serious.

"We'll talk about stuff like that later," M said gently when the drone failed to speak for herself.

"When is later?" Nathan complained. "First thing tomorrow morning? Because, I don't know about you guys, but I'd really like to figure out what the hell is going on with my fiance!" he cried.

"Nathan," M hushed in a soothing tone.

"Human, I have more than a simple plan for 'stopping' the agent," Mother said from her spot on the desk. Everyone turned to her. "I have even developed new technologies to execute my plan. I'll begin work on them tomorrow, when I've finished charging."

Connor and the other two exchanged looks.

"Good enough for you, boy?" Mother asked. Nathan pulled a nasty face. "Also, poke me when you come into bed tonight, Nathan," she said sharply. "I didn't appreciate all the manhandling I received yesterday." Nathan's eyes widened slowly in horror. "I didn't have enough power to do anything then, but if you do it again today, I'll be sure to electrocute you."

M covered his mouth in shocked amusement and Connor tried not to laugh, but Nathan's face paled dramatically. It was hilarious to watch.

Nathan nodded, slowly. Thoroughly scolded.

"Now, leave me alone, boys,"Mother said shortly and the three of them fell all over themselves in their hurry to clear out of the room.

"Wow! " M cried once they were were alone in the hall. "I can't believe that actually happened!"

Connor snorted. "You never told me your mom was going to run some weird compatibility test...thingy…on me."

"I never would have guessed you'd end up meeting Mother again," M said.

Connor shrugged, a little embarrassed by the whole dumb thing to begin with.

"She likes you though, so I don't see what the problem is," M pointed out.

They all went downstairs again and into the living room. They sat around the TV and Nathan jumped at the chance to pick something for them to watch. He found a teenage prank show… It was loud, there were a million 'bleeped' out expletives, and there were way too many mean, racist, and offensive topics and ideas to count.

Connor could only stand so much of this brainless bullshit. They were 40 minutes into the prank show when he threw a fit about the shitty programming.

"Turn this stupid shit off!" he pointed at the screen.

"Jeez. Fine," Nathan changed the channel to Family Feud. "Better?"

Connor glared at the TV. The bright set and the fake smiles of the contestants made his stomach hurt. Just then, the sound of the garage door opening interrupted the bickering.

He glanced at the other two. "Hey. Let's keep M's drone a secret for now."

"Why? Ma's not cool enough to be in the alien club?"

"I honestly don't think she can handle it," Connor said. "Just… try not to mention it. Ok?"

"Whatever," Nathan shrugged.

M got up and went to greet Julie when she came in through the laundry room. Connor could hear them talking.

"I hope she's going to make us something to eat," Nathan said. "I'm starving."

Connor agreed, but he didn't say anything. He didn't want to encourage Nathan's more impulsive nature.

Nathan dropped the subject and flipped restlessly through the TV channels. Connor tried to relax.

Maybe a half hour passed before Julie poked her head into the living room and announced dinner. Connor got up gratefully.

Fish sticks, popcorn shrimp, and coleslaw. Nothing fancy. It was a bunch of frozen food.

"I fixed that mo-ped today," Connor said as he grabbed a plate of seafood. "Tomorrow, I'm going to the temp agency on Moonbeam."

"Moonbeam Landing?" Julie scratched her chin. "That's by the courthouse. I could give you a ride, actually. I'm supposed to drop off some paperwork in the morning… The divorce will be finalized then," she said with a watery smile.

Nathan set his fork down.

"Ah, I'm glad, mom," Connor spoke up. "But I'm fine. I don't need a ride."

Julie seemed sad all of a sudden. She turned away from everyone and ate mechanically over the sink.

The rest of the night was quiet. The boys watched TV together for a while more. There wasn't anything better happening or more interesting to do.

They all took the dog for a walk after that. Connor refrained from running, since he already knew M and Nathan couldn't keep up. They took the short route. It was alright.

"I think I'm going to sleep on the couch tonight," Nathan said as they took the loop towards home. "I think that alien drone is going to stab me in the heart if I don't."

"Mother wouldn't do that," M said, looking highly offended.

"She acts like I tried to stick my dick in her alien ass…" Nathan shook his head and Connor couldn't help it. He laughed. "I picked the thing up last night and turned it over a couple times. I was just looking."

"Well, Mother doesn't like that obviously," M said gently. "Just don't do it again."

Nathan flipped him off.

Connor laughed again. "I think he gets the point."

"Then he doesn't need to sleep on the couch. As long as he doesn't touch the drone, he'll be perfectly fine!"

Nathan shook his head. "Naw," he said. "I'm not messing with my room tonight if that drone is in there too."

M rolled his eyes, but he gave up. He didn't try to convince Nathan anymore.

They got home and went in through the glass patio door. Jack wandered into the kitchen for some water, but the humans stayed in the living room.

"I'm so damned paranoid now," Nathan said as he checked the lock on the sliding glass door. Then he pulled the curtains shut. The floor-to-ceiling window treatments totally obscured them from the outside.

"There's really no reason to be," M said, pouting. "We're safe."

"That's always what they say… right before the monster starts killing the main characters," Nathan said.

M looked skeptical. It didn't seem like he believed what Nathan was saying.

Connor pulled M closer and put an arm around him. He just wanted to get Nathan settled, so maybe they could go upstairs and get settled…

Nathan checked the fireplace, Julie's Mac computer, and moved a couple stacks of books farther out of his walking path. Then he hopped over the back of the couch and stretched out. He turned the TV on and reached for the throw blanket on the back of the loveseat.

"Can you guys turn the lights out when you go upstairs?" he asked, his eyes glued to the television screen.

Connor raised an eyebrow. He tugged on M's arm to get his attention and nodded towards the stairs. The blond must have got the idea, because he turned and started upstairs without a word.

Connor looked back at his brother. "Don't blast the TV all night," he said.

Nathan huffed. "I won't."

"See you tomorrow, punk-ass," Connor said with a smile. Nathan looked up, but Connor got to the lights first. He darkened the living room and then hurried upstairs after the blond.

In the bedroom, M was mostly naked. His little shorts clung to his hips, but it was the only thing he had on. He knelt on the bed, in the moonlight, and rubbed his stomach languidly with lotion.

"Where'd that come from?" Connor asked as he shut the door behind him.

"Nathan," M said. He smoothed more lotion across his palms and got underneath his huge tummy. "Well, it was Jamie's, I guess, but he thought I might need it more. He said it might help with the stretch marks."

"Only, you don't have any," Connor said smartly. He sat on the edge of the bed and reached out to gingerly rub in some of the lotion across M's upper back. When the blond sighed with pleasure, Connor turned and dedicated himself to covering his back with cocoa butter. "You're using way too much lotion. Cut it out," he said.

"I don't have stretch marks? " M asked, craning his neck to watch Connor work over his shoulder.

"No, surprisingly," Connor said, gliding his fingers across M's perfect flesh. "You're skin must be really elastic."

"Huh?"

"Just… turn around. Let me do this," Connor ordered and almost immediately, M hurried to make his body available.

Connor then spent the next couple minutes massaging M's arms and his back.

M rolled his shoulders as Connor worked on his tight muscles… He groaned with delight.

M slowly relaxed and unwound. Connor was able to nudge him down onto his side and the blond went without protest. Connor climbed over him on the bed, straddled his legs… He grabbed M's shorts at the waistband and yanked them down.

M moaned sweetly when Connor's hot, lotion-covered hand wrapped around his cock. He eagerly bucked his hips into the grasping hand.

Connor didn't let M take control of the pace. He pinned his hips with his thighs and teased M's length with firm, measured strokes. He squeezed and pulled on the throbbing shaft and twisted his palm around the swollen, red cockhead.

M whimpered and shook between Connor's legs. "Do you want me to grease up your little asshole too?" Connor asked pleasantly.

"Oooh, yes," M moaned deep in his throat.

Connor scooted out of the way and lifted M's leg so he could pull it back at the knee. The boy's dark anus popped into the foreground, as did his cock, balls and everything else in between. Connor ran his greasy finger in slow circles around M's tight little hole. He dipped the very tip of it inside every couple of turns.

He suddenly wished he'd thought to take his jeans off. He was super hard already, and his dick was especially uncomfortable restrained. Either way, at the moment, he was focused on his finger going deep into M's asshole. He didn't really care about his jeans feeling tight.

He fucked M with his thick finger for a couple minutes. The blond's pale eyelashes fluttered as he moaned and shook with pleasure. Connor touched the hard knot of his prostate a few times, but he didn't want M to cum just yet. He backed off a little and slowed down when M's body started to get stiff and his breathing quickened.

Connor slipped a second finger inside as the blond's body calmed against his. He liked watching the blond squirm and twist as he was stretched. It was so sexy.

"Mmm, Connor," M moaned as Connor scissored his fingers inside his body, preparing his muscles for a good fucking…

Connor gave M's asshole a thorough workout, but he couldn't resist much longer...

He tore his fly open and immediately pressed his cockhead against the entrance to M's hot hole. He groaned loudly, wanting desperately to shove all the way inside…

M cried and he pulled away suddenly. Connor quirked an eyebrow, but he didn't wonder for long. M laboriously flipped over onto his front. He groaned as he crawled up to his knees, but Connor didn't hear him. He was focused on the blond's round ass.

As soon as he was stable again, Connor grabbed one of M's hips, lubed his dick up with a bit of lotion and pushed inside. M cried out in shock, but Connor gave him no time to recover. He unsheathed his cock, then fucked it deep inside once more.

He fucked M hard and fast. He spread his cheeks with his thumb and watched the way the boy's swollen hole worked his shiny cock shaft, over and over and over again…

He changed his angle a bit, forced M's lower back to arch a bit further, and there. He hit M's prostate… with each… and every… stroke…

M buried his face in the sheets and blubbered and cried.

Connor slammed into him, grabbed both of his hips and ground his cockhead deep inside, stimulating M's prostate and his sore little rectum. He churned his cock around like he was making butter. And he was kinda. Cumbutter.

M's little body seized up and clenched down on Connor's dick like a vice. With a muffled scream, he came. Connor bit his bottom lip hard and continued to fuck M's tight, orgasmimg hole, enjoying the spasming muscles around his shaft.

M whimpered and slowly, his body grew weak. Connor wrapped both his arms around the boy's middle and held him up securely as he finished fucking him. He couldn't last for much longer, though. He got lost in the feeling and let go, cumming hard deep inside M's totally accepting body.

Before he lost all his strength, he moved M bodily to the middle of the bed. Connor's cock slipped out of his behind as they shifted around and cum began to leak out. It was gross.

Connor wrinkled his nose and tore his t-shirt off so he had something to wipe up the glob of sticky fluid.

"Connor, who cares? We'll wash it tomorrow," M whined as he watched Connor spot clean with a look of deep disgust. "Come to bed."

Connor sighed and tossed his wrinkled shirt to the floor. He pulled his jeans off next and tossed those after the shirt. He kicked his boots off too, and then, finally, climbed into bed.

"Mmm," M hummed as Connor settled in beside him. "You're so warm."

Connor wrapped an arm around M and the boy pillowed his head on it. Connor stroked his fingers through the blond's hair. He loved the way it felt.

M was asleep in just moments and Connor watched his face, thinking that he loved him…
