Lucas Sylvane, horse rancher and ex-cop, is just trying to survive both his daughter’s wedding, and the meddling interference of his well-meaning friends and family as they try to figure out WHO Luke’s mysterious midnight booty caller from the past few months, is. Loving the closeted town Sherrif, Noah McNally, a man almost 15 years his junior, just because his heart wants what it wants, isn't a recipe for disaster, is it? Where there’s a wedding, there’s always some kind of trouble to follow, because happily ever afters aren't always fairytales, and when you're trying to figure out hearts and hormones, all bets are off.

This is a rewritten piece that won the competition held by a small LGBT publishing house (which has since gone under), and "launched" my VERY short-lived "career" as a professional writer.

I know you (jjqinn) have other great stories in the telling (that's a recommendation to those of you reading this), but I sure want to read the rest of this tale.  Maybe some day in the future?

I didn't expect to encounter a trans woman and an asexual cis man in this setting, but I'm really glad you included them.  I'd love to read more about their relationship.

And your comment about the main readership of gay romance novels is pretty funny (and apparently fairly spot-on).

Thank you.

Hi Mike thank you. I intend to finish them all just not sure when. Health is not cooperating and some of the medications given for the muscles spasms make my mind fuzzy so writing has been an issue. But I do intend to finish them all. I wanted to finish them all by this year but it looks like it'll be maybe some this year and some next year. This one maybe I'll do. It's pretty light and fluffy and is a doable goal by the end of the year. It is a heavy revision of a story I wrote like 15 years ago so I'm essentially rewriting it. I have most of the next chapter done. I also have most of the next chapter of hood and holy water and Coloring Outside the Lines done so it's a thing of which one do I work on. I just have to see where the mind goes.

In the original version Jessie wasn't trans but it works out better for the new version just new times and relatable to more people. I have a lot of stories that are in the making but just haven't come about yet. If I could just connect my brain to some kind of amazing computer that would write the stories for me it would be fantastic cuz it's all in there it's just getting it out lOL but thank you for commenting and following along. If you like the cheerful fluff you might like the short piece I did last year for the Anthology. I actally missef the Anthology date so I posted it separately.
