Things get very anxious and scary in the Hartley household. It has a large group of youths who begin to fight the new evil in their town .Somewhere outside a carnivorous plant is growing and feeding. It is being cared for by Edgar, a butcher, who hates vegetarians/vegans and now has transformed meat that changes people into brutes, killers and monsters

The battles will not be easy and not straight forward. New magical beings will appear.Large, oppressive bureaucracies have to be handled and beaten and overcome. There is too much paperwork. Love lives will be expanded, tested and defined anew. Pay attention to how Charlie,  Tyler and Taine evolve. Charlie at loose ends prays and Pip, a cherub, turns up to help him and be his willing lover. Matt,, Simon( Lynix) and Gareth form a close knit , wish fulfilling group.

Things are challenging and you will not be certain how things will turn out. Will Edgar and the goddess inspired meat eating plant take over the city  or not? The story will baffle and intrigue you. Life will not remain calm. There are more related  books to come. I know I will want to read them all.

The squad is back, with new members and fresh adventures. What happens when a wicked plant and an overly ambitious butcher join forces and start delivering dangerous meat to unsuspecting customers…?
