Bullying Starts in the Home 1. New York Anthology Stories

   (2 reviews)
Sub-genres: Drama, General Romance

Asher White was everything Clarke hated. He was half-black and half-Asian, and out and proud. But when Asher actually managed to beat Clarke in wrestling, he just snapped and punched Asher out. Clarke knew this was it. He'd worked so hard to get into New York's elite Stuyvesant High School and now it would be for naught. Grasping at straws, he tells the vice-principle the one secret not even he knows he has. With the help of a new friend, he is forced to confront years of abuse he has suffered at home. After all, bullying starts in the home, and it must end in the home.

This story is based on characters from the New York Holidays series of short stories and novellas by the author. Although the reader may wish to read the stories in the series for background, Bullying Starts in the Home stands on its own. There are instances of violence, child abuse and nudity as well as allusions to the male anatomy and to sex between underage boys in the story. Obviously, anyone uncomfortable with these themes should not be reading it, and it’s the reader’s responsibility to ensure the legality of reading such material where they live. Some of the locations described are real locations and some of the characters and organizations described may bear a strong resemblance to real individuals and organizations, but should not be taken as such.
