Another wonderful addition from @Mark Ponyboy Peters.

As always, for me at least, this story was very character driven.  All of Mark's characters from the main ones to those you only meet once or twice are so fully realized.  

The writing and pacing were excellent, breaks where you needed them, and the evocative nature of the writing was outstanding.

You meet Kieran, coming home, not just physically, but back to who he was meant to be, even if he did not quite realize it yet.  You have Charlie, suffering from a loss, but still smarting from Kieran leaving and going off to the big city.  You get their family and friends, and some new ones, who are old ones from Thompsonville and the stories tied to there.  

Get ready for your heartstrings to be plucked, and your funny bone to be tickled.  Sit back and enjoy this treat from down under.  

While you don't have to have read the previous stories in the Thompsonville universe, a passing knowledge of them will certainly help you keep a few of the characters that come and go throughout this one straight, so to speak.  

Another slice of life story set in Thompsonville, the fictitious Pacific paradise created by @Mark Ponyboy Peters.

This is one of my favourite stories from the 'pen of the pony'. A story which takes place over a 12-month period.

There is nothing startling about any of the characters, although it is the first time Mark has featured a drag queen prominently in one of his stories. Patrick aka Trinity de la Crème is anything but a caricature though, he is a fully realised character both on-and-off the stage.

As commented by my fellow reader @centexhairysub, the strength and joy of Mark’s story-telling is the characters he creates, mostly likeable, although not always well-behaved. It is the interactions of these characters which capture one’s attention and holds it for the duration of the story. 

A delightful story which will entertain, enthral and enrich the life of any reader who enjoys realistic, often humorous and well-written stories. 

A true 5 star experience.

Charlie is suffering from loss, physically and mentally, especially with his best friend Kieran, dissappear to the big city.

Kieran returns home, to the place he belongs, but he doesn't know that yet.

We watch as they rekindle there friendship.

Be prepared for family, friendship, love and plenty of comedy.

Give it a read, you will not be disappointed.
