Someone pulled a prank at work, and from that time on new pranks are being played around every holiday.  The other employees are getting fed up with these stunts and are trying to figure out who's doing it, but they're unsuccessful.  In fact, they don't even recognize the prankster when he's basically caught, but comes up with a reasonable explanation for why he isn't the one.
