TJ's Journey to Marriage - 3. Chapter 3

I turned to see a very stunned J standing there.

“Did you just fire my father?” he asked

“Yes, I asked for one thing and he told me no. He seems to be on my mother’s side and I am not having it.”

“TJ, you realize he could lose his job right?”

“That did cross my mind but I have to out personal relationships aside. If I let that interfere with business then we’d go out of business.”

“Well isn’t what you were asking for personal?”

“Yes and no. Yes she is my mother but No because she is a liar and a former BHO employee.”

“You know you just put me in an awkward situation right?”

“Yes I do. I need time to think about things. I’m going for a walk.” I said and left the apartment and headed for central park.

JC’s point of view

Once TJ left I called pop immediately

“Hey son” he said

“What the hell pop? Why did you piss TJ off?

“Listen it’s extremely complicated and I don’t have time.”

“You better make time. If he does something stupid you will be at fault.”

“It’s under control.” He said and ended the call. I called my mom

“Hey honey, you ok? You rarely call me.”

“I need to talk to you about Pop. TJ fired the firm today regarding BHO’s business. “

“Your father hasn’t told me yet. When did this happen?”

“A few minutes ago and TJ is really angry and I don’t know what to do.”

“Listen JC, if we lose that business we will be toast. They account for most of our companies billings and pay for a majority of this firms employees. Do you know why it happened?”

“Yes, TJ asked him to investigate Emily as it turns out she had an affair and Beau and Grayson are his half-brothers. She lied and told TJ that his dad was infertile after they had him and he called his grandpas’ and they set the record straight. So Pop said no to the investigation.”

“Listen; let me go talk to your father and grandfather. We may have to suspend him till we find out what is really going on. I will find out what I can and see what I can find on Emily. Please go find TJ and tell him I am taking care of this.”

“Thanks mom. I love you.”

“Love you too JC.” She said and ended the call. I called Kevin and told him what had transpired and he was really worried. He said Tristan said something was wrong with TJ. My phone rang and it was dad

“Hey dad” I said

“Son are you alone?”

“Yep, here in this large apartment and my angry boyfriend stepped out”

“Ok, I really need to tell you what is going on as your father called me and I told him he had to deal with this and be truthful about it.”

“Dad what do you know?”

“Ok here goes, we all went to school with Emily and you know that. She helped take care of you and Trace when you were younger. Tristan was working a lot and we would watch TJ to allow her time to go out. She got pregnant with Beau when Tristan was on a month long training. Your pop and I were really angry with her as she continued to spiral and leave TJ with us. I confronted her about what was going on and she got really angry with me and threatened to harm you; I told your pop and he was livid. He said something to her about it and came home tail between his legs. He never told me what had transpired; his happened a second time with Grayson.”

“Dad you gotta help me; Pop will lose his job and TJ is very upset.”

“Let me see what I can do.” With that dad ended the call.

I started pacing not sure of what to do; why is there so much drama? Is this why pop was insistent on a prenup did he know something? After a few minutes of pacing TJ came through the door

“Did you have some good quality thinking time?” I asked

“Yeah and I talked to Kevin for a while; apparently Tristan was worried I was going to do something and urged Kevin to call.”

“He just loves his brother and nothing will ever stop that. I called Pop and he gave me the run around. I called Liz and she is going to look into what is going on and wants to help you. I also talked to my dad and he told me somethings that were troubling. Do you know if by chance your mother could be bi-polar?”

“I don’t know but it would make some sense; but why is it rearing its ugly head now?”

“I don’t know maybe she came off her meds? I just don’t want this to ruin us.” I said worriedly

“No, this won’t come between us. I am worried what my brothers will think.”

“I know they both love you without a doubt. I just hope your mom doesn’t poison their minds.”

“Let’s call them in a group facetime and see what they know.”

“You sure that’s wise?”

“I would rather be ahead of the game then end up on the wrong side.”

“I guess that makes sense. Let’s do it on one condition; if I don’t like where the call was headed I will end the call.”

“Deal” he said dialing Beau and Grayson

“Hey Bros” TJ said

“Hey TJ, what’s up” Grayson said

“I wanted to talk with you both and your partners, if they are around.”

“Lucas is here with me as we were watching a movie” Beau said

“Trace is here too.” Grayson said

“I’ve got JC with me. I am going to tell you something that may make you angry. Did you know we are only half-brothers?” There was a silence that Beau broke

“I found out a few years ago and told Grayson” Beau said

“You did? Why didn’t you tell me?” TJ asked

“I found out when you had run away. Mom made some off handed comment about you being high strung like your dad but at least Beau and Grayson have the calm and reserve like their father. I did some digging and did one of those DNA test and it showed Grayson and I shared a father but you and I only share some genes, which is mom’s father.” Beau said

“This is crazy guys; what else is mom hiding?”

“Probably a lot” Lucas said

“What makes you say that?” I asked

“Well you guys might not know this but she and my mom had a bit of a falling out over my dad. I have a suspicion that something was going on there.” Lucas said

“That wouldn’t be surprising at all” TJ said

“Can you have an investigation done?” Trace asked

“I tried but Jack through up tons of road blocks and I fired him” TJ said

“You fired Jack? That explains why Liz was in his office yelling at him. Her dad was here too and they are all in the office and it has gotten so heated that people are afraid.” Grayson said

“I talked to my dad and he is going to get to the bottom of it too” I said

“Well one thing for sure is someone is hiding something” Trace said

“Well we are all in agreement that we will stick together no matter the outcome?” TJ asked worried

“Yes TJ, Lucas and I are behind you 100%” Beau said

“Ditto for Grayson and I” Trace replied

“I want you guys to know you all mean the world to me no matter what.” TJ said

“Ok guys, my man is getting sappy so let’s end this on a good note before he has us all crying” I said with a grin

“Agreed” Beau said rather quickly

“You know, maybe we should come visit” I said with an evil grin

“NO!” Lucas and Beau shouted

“I figured as much” I replied

“Ok everyone be safe and if you need us please let us know.” I said and ended the call.

“I am so relieved that my brothers still love me” TJ said

“Me too babe but I didn’t doubt it for a minute.” I replied

“I am going to text Kevin and let him know that a DNA test had been done on you. Remember he wanted to compare you and Tristan.” I said

“Sounds good; could we take a nap? I am exhausted”

“Go upstairs and I will join you shortly” After he walked upstairs I sent Kevin the message. I am really worried about what all this could mean. I headed upstairs and TJ was already asleep; so I hopped in bed and snuggled up to him.

I woke and felt JC snuggled up to me; I seriously love this boy. I wiggled out of his grip and made a mad dash for the bathroom. He was still asleep when I finished and I decided to go into the computer area and do some research. I know Kevin was researching things but there were things I needed to know.

First I googled mom and nothing came up. Then I googled dad and there were stories of his death and his work for the Army. A story about the death of my grandparents caught my eye. My grandmother had her doctorate degree and was a fertility specialist and my grandfather worked in Homeland Security and other government agencies; he had abruptly quit and started his own company. Black Hawk Operations was very successful and he was off to great things. It looks like Grandma was also a wiz and very involved in fertility and different methods of conception. I forwarded this article over to Kevin as it was very interesting. The next person I googled was Julian Martin and this is where it got interesting; he was married and divorced and had two children. I am starting to wonder about his kids as they would be my cousins; this is where CC would have been a great help and would tell me she would look into it.

I felt JC wrap his arms around my shoulders

“What are you doing babe?”

“Doing some research and learned some interesting things.”

“What did you learn?

“Well my grandfather worked for the government and abruptly left and my grandmother was a fertility doctor. I also learned Julian had two kids.”

“That is some crazy information. I am wondering how Pop fits into this whole mess. Dad told me your mom must have something on him and that’s why he was not willing to help or maybe it will open something we don’t want to know.”

“I know what you mean; My mom is all I love you and then becomes a crazy cunt.” I said and JC laughed

“Your mom is definitely a cunt and my Pop is being a dickless weasel.”

“Your Pop is definitely gay right?”

“Yes, from what I know he is.”

“We need to figure out how all this fits together and then we need to plan a wedding.”

“Oh so pick napkins and plate patterns, investigate your mom, cake tasting and all?” He said laughing

“Yes and don’t forget we need to have mad passionate sex” I said with a grin

“Then let’s make sure that hot friend of yours shows up”

“Oh you are going to pay for that” I said chasing him around the room. We were interrupted by a phone call from Kevin

“Hey TJ, I have some interesting news for you.”
