Unusual Trick-or-Treaters

Brian Hayes just finished greeting the last trick-or-treater to come to his house when he decides to go outside to see if anyone pulled any pranks.  At that point, he sees two more trick-or-treaters in the distance, and the next thing he remembers is that he’s waking up on the ground two hours later.  After coming to, he struggles to learn what had happened during those missing two hours.   (Halloween story)
