Poems - 1. Goodbye

My bones are weary

My head still high

Time passes too quickly

We do what we can to get by

You cannot forget

Memories meant to be kept

Overwhelming, heartwarming, but wrenching

Burrowing deeply inside of your chest

It was ten years ago, twenty

You loved me straight from the start

Forever the best part of

The limits given within life

Short and precise. Feels a little like a hangover, but quite expressive.
I like the comparison to a hangover, I never thought of it that way but yeah kind of similar. Thanks for the comment :)
