Family embrace - 1. What I Want The Most

This poem was written in the winter of 2018. and it's about a brother who wants his big brother back.

What I want the most I can not have for what I want the most is to have my brother back.

Since I can’t have what I want the most, I will have to just settle with knowing that one day I will get what I want the most. For what I want the most is to be able to hug my dear brother.

What I want the most is not a gift you can find in the mall or a high end department store. What I want the most you can’t wrap it and put it under the Christmas tree. Since I can’t have what I want the most I shall just settle for the next best thing which is the memories I have of my dear brother.

What I want the most I can not have for what I want the most is to have another day with my dear brother. What I want the most I can not have for what I want the most is to be able to hear his sweet singing voice once more. What I want the most I can not have for what I want the most is to hear my brother’s laughter filling the room up while he’s watching a favorite show. Even though I can’t have what I want the most for what I want the most is to have my dear brother check up on me one last time.

Since I can’t have what I want the most I shall settle with the next best thing. Which is the knowledge of my dear brother receiving his gift from God for being not only a wonderful brother, son, nephew, grandson and a loyal follower of God and many more things.
