Thirty Two Faces

   (1 review)
Sub-genres: Drama, General Romance

A love story between an autistic teen and his brother. The boy only recognizes 3 facial expressions, and it limits how he interacts with the world. Over the years, he studied and learnt to recognize 32 of his brother's faces. A special bond developed between them as he understands the world through his brother.

Check this video out if you want to have a first hand experience of what is like to experience the world from Keith's point of view.

One of the best stories I have read on Gay Authors, and I have read a lot!

Because the story is almost all from the perspective of a young man with autism ("Keith")--and the author does such a good job describing what is going on in his mind--the reader is totally drawn into his world.  And it is a fascinating world!

The plotting of the story makes Keith's gradual realization that he is in love with his brother very believable, as is his ostensibly straight brother's eventual realization that he also is in love with Keith.  I found myself totally caught up in the emotions of the protagonist (lots of tears shed!) and had a difficult time putting my Kindle reader down.

The story challenges stereotypes about people on the autistic spectrum, and our society's knee-jerk taboo on incest.  (If love/sex between siblings is totally consensual and there is no worry about producing children with genetic problems, why is there a taboo?)  I would love to see this story published in book form!

Kudos to the author.  If he has written more stories on other platforms, I would love to know about it!
