Better late than never? I didn't think it was a poem that was good enough to post. I do struggle with writing them and I have little knowledge of writing poetry myself. I just try to make something sound relatively good. Anyway, my mood has changed, so I'm willing to post this now. So, be a little gentle.. and I hope you like it.

Please remember,

The taste of my lips.

My soft fingertips,

As they send a chill through you.

And you smile,

And taste my lips again.

I hope you remember,

The laughter,

And tenderness.

The warmth of the sun.

At home with me in your arms.

When you walk out that door,

My smile,

I hope it helps you walk through once more.

Please remember,

That I’m waiting for you.

That I am the life you love.

I am the eyes that makes your heart race.

The kiss that makes you want another.

The warmth you want at night.

And the first person you want to see.

So please remember,

When you’re searching for something more.

That I was what you wanted once.

I hope you remember,

That you are what I’m waiting for.
