Love I - 3. Breaking Point
I think I must surely break
my heart cannot possibly hold all this feeling
my head cannot possibly contain this intensity
anything I have ever felt for anyone
is insignificant compared to how I feel for you
just a pale shadow, a ghost, a whisper
as much a tease to my senses as
a sun shower compared to a thunderstorm
a single snow flake compared to a blizzard
a child’s breath compared to a gale-force wind
a candle’s flame compared to the surface of the sun
I think I must surely break
just as a dam must burst
when the river is too much to hold
my soul must surely shatter
from the sheer force
of the love I feel for you
