HMS Belvidera 4. Bridgemont

I said earlier, I thought this was my favorite of the four, but it seems a lot happened. I feel it was almost two full books, one before Freddie was maimed and one after. I might have to agree that book three was the best but this was close.

Really well done, now I'm sorry I slogged through it so fast. There's no more. Well St. Vincent at least is started

This is definitely my favorite book of the Bridgemont series. Granger really matures and shows his potential and intelligence, learning from his mistakes and coming up with some truly brilliant plans whenever he is confronted with a situation. I espcially like the way he remembers to reward his officers and men when they deserve it. And I relish every time he has a confrontation with the stupid Wilcoxes. And of course he has a lot of very delicious man to man action too, one of the main attractions of this series. You should be awarded some sort of gay naval knighthood for this awesome tale.

Like the books preceding this I found HMSB to be a great story to get lost in for a little while. Being so much longer it left a lot of ties open to be picked up on in the following books making Bridgemont an addictive series. Thank you for this creative take on history.
