When Your Exes Marry, Don't Kiss Your Fake Date

   (4 reviews)
Genres: Comedy, Romance,

To survive the wedding of their ex-partners (who are marrying each other!), chaotic Dylan and obsessive perfectionist Jonas agree to the perfect plan: they'll pretend to be boyfriends. Jonas has it all figured out, complete with a color-coded binder of their entire fake history. The goal is simple: show everyone they're not just fine, they're thriving. But between chaotic rehearsals, one structurally unsound bookshelf, and a perfectly timed kiss that feels way too real, the line between their fake romance and forever starts to blur.

I've re-read this little gem three times in a row. It is, in many ways, one of the funniest (and best-written)  stories I've read on Gay Authors in many months. The fact that it is highly implausible doesn't matter a bit: it's just SO good.

If Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend and Are Forever, then move over Marilyn and Shirley, there's a dazzling new diva on the block, and his name is @Rafy

This gem of a story deliciously wraps revenge in a cocoon of precision planning combined with chaos and disorder. When Ying meets Yang, balance is restored to satisfy even the fussiest of us born under the star sign Libra.

They say revenge is a dish best served cold. In this story, the temperature of said dish is arctic. Dylan the doyenne of the diss, with frosty one-liners the envy of Mame Dennis and Alexis Morel Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan, vivisects the pretentious without drawing blood.

Splendid.
