A delightful story about the strange places life sometimes takes us. In many ways a good short story is about finding the right balance between what the reader needs to know to keep the story moving and leaving out unnecessary fluff, and this one nails it.

I'd almost forgotten how to write in the short story format, which is odd because that's what I always used to write.
