An Apologetic Attempt At Adequate - 4. Chapter 4: Seems Clear

Seems Clear

To hid the hurt I run cavalier
To turn from pain I often leer
To keep my peace I forget the sneer
Don't ever forget you are only my peer

Remember to forget that fear
Promise to renege of all you hear
Count to zero before you jeer
Don't come back never be near

Everything in my life now seems clear
Everything you gave is no longer dear
Everything you took is nothing mere
Don't look back listen to me cheer

Chapter Comments

It's almost like an advice piece, almost a lecture, but the audience for the lecture is yourself.

I love the rhyming too.
