An Apologetic Attempt At Adequate - 5. Chapter 5: Today

Today

You know what tears are.

Then don't ask for your minute.

Don't wait for another hour.

Leave today.

You know what promises are.

Then don't ask for my pardon.

Don't seek out another favor.

Forget today.

Do you know what hurt is.

I don't know if that is what I feel.

Maybe it is only disappointment.

Live tomorrow.

A path of joy led to you.

With every turn and twist discovery.

A merry chase thru the garden.

This cruel path leads from you.

A climb up, a fall to the ground.
