An Apologetic Attempt At Adequate - 6. Chapter 6: Nothing

Nothing

The easiest thing to write about is nothing.
It fills up your life.
I know my heart is full of it.
It is all around us all.
And there is nothing there at all.
So why comment on it.
Well because it is kind of comforting to know that nothing is there.
So this is about nothing.
So you don't have to worry.
I feel nothing.
I give nothing.
I want nothing.
My eyes leak, well that is nothing.
My body shakes, well that is nothing.
Words are nothing.
Happy?

Well there you go.
Without fear I show you all.
Or nothing at all.
Which is the same thing if you think about it at all.

Sam

Void.

I found this poem hits hard. Every day I woke up void of motivation. I found I easily have bad thoughts the first thing I wake up in the morning. Nothing in one's heart is never good.

Sad. Also makes me remember the unrequited love theme.

A striking poem; a paean to nihilism in a moving format. Thanks for sharing your poems with us.
