A Raining Day

A raining day in heaven

Simply the way of things

Drops in my hair

Some you walk away from

Mist upon my lips

Some you rush and run to

Dew across my shoulders

Some are problems and some are problems

Riverlets

The meaning of absurdities

Grand gestures and passion sighs

Inane and insane

A glance to the sky

Barriers behind

A creature of song

Meant to be solitary

No cry or demand to listen too

I don’t want to tell you how I feel

I want you to tell me how I feel

Do you see the truth of me

At the heart of me

Hurt by love

Never have I lost innocence

Grown older

Ever remained young

Gained in wisdom

Yet continue to disregard it

Cause all that is desired

Is to live… Is it your path

To love… Or my path

For you… Our path
