A young teenager meets a stranger in the street and almost against his better judgement and certainly opposite to the warnings he'd been brought up with, not to talk to strangers, he ignores the advice and his own apprehensions. At the stranger's house he accepts a somewhat peculiar proposition which allows him to liberate the secret he's been harbouring.

Damien Moreau has disappeared and his vanishing act causes waves. A well known figure in the world of art and antiquities who cannot be found raises questions. Not least from his protégé, the budding artist Ethan Blake. The investigative skills of Detective Eliott Carter are called upon, but the eventual turn of events leads only to a deepening mystery.

Cwtch is a Welsh word, translated into English it means a hug, but the meaning is deeper and more profound than a simple hug. When you give someone a cwtch you also give them a safe place and this is what twenty something Londoner Harry gives Welsh farmboy Aled. The story tells how two souls find each other, and recognise one another immediately. It is attraction, but also love at first sight, although true love is never easy.

This could make or brake their careers, earn them and the company they work for lots of money. But behind the facade there are darker movements embroiling them all in a murderous whirlwind with dramatic consequences.

One week after their first encounter Leo meets up with the two brothers Sam and Kenny to escape to the lake in Hadley Woods. Leaving behind suburbia, and in a quiet secluded spot, they pass the day together sunbathing. The shared intimacy and shared secrets solidify what has become a "secret society of three."
