    Hadrian, accompanied by his loyal guide Ouray, returns to the familiar yet unsettling town of Redwaters, North Carolina. Their journey is spurred by Fleur's distressing nightmare, which foretells a looming danger that threatens to disrupt their lives forever. Meanwhile, a magical portal transports Zain to Redwaters on the eve of his nineteenth birthday. Amnesic and with no knowledge of his extraordinary powers, the young prince meets Hadrian, Fleur, and Ouray, who try to help him find answers to his questions.
