After living in Boston for over the past fifteen years, Carlos Santino has returned to Adermoor Cove, working as a deputy underneath his father, the sheriff. After a month of being back he begins to have horrific nightmares/flashback of a traumatizing experience he's long since forgotten. Upon being called onto the scene of Vanessa Stanton's death, he encounters the enigmatic Lane Hardy, who has been suspected for Vanessa's murder.
