Short pieces set in the world of The Fragmented. These aim to get me in the right headspace to write the series fully, and to tempt you with some imagery of the world that will be explored.

Lihai is a pickpocket. Kutanga is a respectable apprentice. Lihai's green-blue eyes captured Kutanga's heart the moment he looked upon them, but the mysterious boy he meets in the market hides something that endangers any who dare to love him. Loving another boy is of little consequence, but to love a Changeling is unforgivable to some.

The world was shaped to be good and prosperous. The gods were commanded to guard it, and for many an age it was so. But in a night of great conflict the world was shattered by powerful magic and the sky fell upon the mortal realms. 20 years have passed. Ambitions have reignited and armies march once more. Champions must rise to save the mortal realms, for failure means the end of all they know. Ki grew up in this world, and the story of the years to come is also his story.

Greetings! I hope you enjoy these prompt shorts which will surface here as I write them. Excuse the terrible title but it has been stuck in my head for a while and I just had to use it.

Short pieces I wrote, whether bored or just got a cool idea. Primarily things I couldn't work out how to turn into a full story or lacked the time to do so and wanted to post anyway because I liked them.

Arcturus is an ancient mage who wants to die. It is his last wish after a long, weary life of service. But to die without destroying the world he must find an heir for his immense power.

Sabien is a young human who suffered the loss of everything to trolls when they burnt his city. Adopted by a kindly noble, he only wants to repay his lord’s kindness.

Neither knows it, but they might have more to do with each other than they expect.

Adam was just a normal eighteen year old, struggling with his sexuality and wishing he was just a normal straight guy who didn't have to deal with the rejection and heartache of coming out. To cope he has immersed himself in books and ignored his sexuality as best as he can; however on his eighteenth birthday he gives into temptation and then loses everything.

Inspired by Prompt #206, this is a short story of unusual romance between a human peasant and one of the Faerie Lords.
