Trebs 1,132 Posted December 23, 2005 Fantastic news (both the getting-the-christmas-spirit but especially the new Christmas story). I'll definately keep checking Sat afternoon to see if it's up yet
Alan 0 Posted December 23, 2005 You should take the death threats as a good thing. It measures how much the threateners like reading your stuff. Still, an insecure Christmas is not a happy Christmas... No, I'm not going there, I'm too drenched in Christmas spirit to get into pathetic whining and begging.
tarantio 0 Posted December 23, 2005 No DD21 till after christmas??? Ouch..that IS a torture man.. BUT...looking on the bright side, at least i wouldn't have to stay glued to my com screen on the whole of christmas eve just to wait for the arrival of the new chap^_^
Bender 5 Posted December 23, 2005 It is good that you said, "Happy Holiday, whatever you celebrate," Dom, because I am from Mars (so is Mariah Carey). Thus, I celebrate Hutookajulan, the festival my people created to make sure that our crops grow well. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New Short story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Philistine 1 Posted December 23, 2005 how about xmas apathy? i've got plenty of that to share with everyone. who wants some? i'm practically giving it away!
JamesSavik 24,804 Posted December 23, 2005 Happy Holidays DOM! Thanks for all of your most excellent work.
rknapp 32 Posted December 24, 2005 *sits up in chair very abruptly* Short story? Mmmmm..... ok the dog poo can stay in the back yard then
Ann 0 Posted December 24, 2005 Hi Dom, I like your third person writing, and your first person writing. Harrison Polk?? Where do you come up with these names. I love it. Is this going to be a day-by-day story? I
glomph 8 Posted December 24, 2005 Harrison Polk?? Where do you come up with these names. I love it. Hugs, Ann It's no stranger than Harrison Ford, and seems to work better than longer Presidents' names with "Harrison." (Well, OK, Harrison Carter doesn't sound too bad. But Harrison Bush somehow sounds dirty.)
Gregoire 20 Posted December 24, 2005 Hey, I just read your Christmas story. Definite thumbs up Mr. Luka. It's a shame about DD though. Personally I'm a fan of your first person writing, but this story is keeping my interest pretty well. Keep up the good work. --Greg.
Coming Undone 0 Posted December 24, 2005 Thanks for the Christmas gift Dom Looking forward to after the holidays. Enjoy the Movie or whatever. I'm Coming
NickolasJames8 807 Posted December 24, 2005 Merry Christmas Dom Thanks for the awesome short story...... I loved it Also, I think DD is going great......Im so happy that you got interested in it again... Nick
Lucy Kemnitzer 0 Posted December 24, 2005 I just wanted to say I found the "practice" third-person story on the sidebar. I do like it a lot. It does read really differently from the first-person pieces. For one thing, you've got really different people than your usual range of characters -- they're more iconic, which I think is interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with it.
rekop1 2 Posted December 25, 2005 Just read "Under the Mistletoe " great story Dom, I really enjoyed your story. Keep up the good work. Happy Holidays hope you have a great Christmas. rekop1
DomLuka 7,528 Posted December 26, 2005 Thanks guys, I hope everyone had a really great christmas, or Xmas, or holiday, or just a great day.
rknapp 32 Posted December 26, 2005 Why do I get the feeling that some refresh buttons are getting red hot about now... Lmao, hope you had a good Xmas Dom, and also hope Daddy-o didn't crack the whip on ya for skipping out the first part (at least not Mr. Luka Daddy-o, if you know what I mean ) Whoa where did that come from...
Alan 0 Posted December 26, 2005 Why do I get the feeling that some refresh buttons are getting red hot about now... Lmao, hope you had a good Xmas Dom, and also hope Daddy-o didn't crack the whip on ya for skipping out the first part (at least not Mr. Luka Daddy-o, if you know what I mean ) Whoa where did that come from... The phrase 'Xmas Dom' badly needs a comma to save us from visions of a leathery Santa with a whip, but I digress. The short story kept me going over Christmas, but (excellent as it was) it's wearing off and fullblown withdrawal symptoms are setting in. I may be forced to start whimpering in a big way in the near future... And that would just be embarrassing to all of us, especially since I doubt I'll be alone.
