How My "special" Reviews Will Work For Jeff Allen's Epic Story
Alright, this is how my 4 part review will work on Jeff Allen's Carterville-Adam State stories. I will use a formal format for these stories, because I believe Jeff deserves something more than my usual blurbs.
As a side note: Jeff Allen, Brew Maxwell, and dkstories (Dkstories here) were the only three gay writers, I ever emailed directly thanking them for their stories. I have messaged or work with other gay authors, but I never directly thanked them for their story.
I may one day take up the challenge of re-reading Brew's Foley Mashburn Saga, but I will hold off on that for now. Brew Maxwell is my moral compass as gay writer and gay kid/man, while his story might have been hokey and preachy at times, whenever I needed to be reminded of what "gay" values can be and should be, I look to his story as my bible (Comparatively speaking, it might even be close to how long the Old testament was [] )
Dan has walled his story into premium contents and I don't want to use my pdf replication to review it. I've got all 4 of his Do-Over stories saved as pdfs, but based on past disagreements, I don't think I can ever give his story justice. dkstories made me realize the power and extent of an epic gay story; it also got me to GA.
As for Jeff Allen, re-reading his stories again after 10 years, I've learned a lot about myself and about what gay realities are. His stories are in some ways like Brew Maxwell with the infamous "rescue" the abused kid genre of the 2000's, but he also touched on a lot of controversy with his age gaps. By reading his stories and liking it as a teen and an adult, I feel like I should give an underrated "master" author his due.
The reviews will follow the format:

As for how I am reviewing and splitting out the reviews, here's my schedule:
Part 1: When Love Comes (9/6/2015)
Part 2: Love of a Lifetime (9/7/15)
Part 3: Finding Family (9/8/15)
Part 4: Three Voices (9/9/15)
This is set up in chronological order of how the story progresses; also, I will note that another side story "Construction Job" was omitted as I felt it really did not add depth to the characters from earlier, but "Three voices" deserve to be part of the grand review of the series as it is a crucial development for one of the characters and his family.
Also, if you have the original unedited versions of Jeff's stories, PLEASE SEND ME A COPY, I HAD GOTTEN A COPY YEARS AGO AND I LOST IT WHEN MY COMPUTER CRASHED
Jeff had edited out a huge chunk of some of his stories, so I will only review what is present; though I remember a few alterations or alternative histories. It reads much smoother, but you will miss out on some fun sex scenes and plot twists for side characters.
Alright, now onto the reviews!
