Anthonin Scalia's School

So is it true, after receiving an anonymous $30 million donation, they wanted to rename the George Mason School of Law to honor the recently deceased justice?

And the name chosen was the Antonin Scalia School of Law.

ASSOL or, I suppose, ASSLaw to avoid embarrassment.

Shit! You can't make this stuff up!

Question is, who is George Mason, and should his legacy really be for sale?

Well, since he was responsible for the Virginia Declaration of Rights, upon which the Bill of Rights was modeled, I can understand why they figure he should be replaced by Scalia.

How appropriate. I have one of my characters attending George Mason Law. (Did you all know it's ranked as one of the best in the US?) Just something else I need to work into the story eventually! Owen will be a student at ASSLaw!

This reminds me of the South Harmon Institute of Technology  :gikkle:

I hear the sh-IT program is bad for a Tech school

ASSLaw, some one needs to start a counter donation drive 30,000,001 to change the name.

They already responded after all the attention on social media. It'll be the Antonin Scalia Law School instead.

It's still a slap in the face to the memory of a man who championed citizens rights to honor one who so calculatedly trampled on them.

Wouldn't you know the Koch Bros. are behind this attempt to canonize another hack. (Hmmm ...sounds like a familiar MO. Ronald Reagan anyone? Maybe Spiro Agnew will be next.)
