I am feeling ambivalent about continuing Word of the Day due to its fairly low engagement.

I could comment on ambivalence, but maybe not. :P

If you don't want to do Word of the Day, maybe make it Word of the week or Month. I think it's a great feature, I've learnt some interesting 🤔 words.

This is a great feature @Myr. It's often the first thing I look for when I log on, but finding a new and interesting word every day is not a task I envy. Perhaps twice a week would be better.

It's always nice to meet new words and the supply is virtually inexhaustible.

Most English speaking adults know a surprising twenty to thirty thousand words. You probably didn't imagine you knew so many. Many dictionaries only have around 170,000 words out of the million known words, but many of those excluded are technical terms or names of chemicals.

I like this feature even when I'm not enamored with the particular word of the day.  As @drpaladin noted, there are thousands of gems out there many surreptitiously hidden in plain sight.

In that case @Myr you have enough words for the next 60+ years at one a day.
