Well if we fancy an escape from the cold weather that many of us are suffering from, what better than a visit to Perth, Western Australia.

We meet Jexon Kendrick a veterinary student who goes to university in Perth, but his home is a remote cattle in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, just south of the hottest town in the state, where the temperature reaches 40 degrees or above in the summer months.

But things don't run smoothly for Jexon when he reaches 21. This story is not what it seems there are many interesting things that happen throughout the story.
We are introduced to an Airbase and some awesome Military Planes as they undergo restoration, but even this doesn't run smoothly as we meet trespassers on the Airbase, which get the local Police involved.

We have Jewelry thieves involving large sums of money. Visits to the capital for Jexon where the army becomes involved. More cattle stations. We then get Jexon doing marine research on an island as part of his veterinary course.

We get to meet his friends Marcus and Auggie who become really important to Jexon as he slowly gets to his lifetime goal of setting up his own veterinary practice.

As with any Quokka story we are treated to some of the delights of Australia. All encompassed in a fantastic story where nothing is straightforward and we get plenty of action, drama and trials and tribulations before the ultimate goal is reached.

As with a lot of Quokka's stories you are left with an ending that leaves you wanting more.
