In Latin, morganatica means morning gift and  refers to a gift given to a new bride by her husband the morning after. It literally represented all his property she would receive.

Does this have anything to do with Morgan le Fay (aka Morgan and Morgaine) and the Arthurian legend?

The Imperial dynasty was a long line of arranged marriages between the Royal House and the great houses until the Jackson Coup. Prince Roger, survived an assassination attempt, overthrew the coup and regained the throne for his house.
